Chapter 24: What Are We?

Laura's POV

Schools done for the day! I'm fixing some of stuff in the locker as I come across Luke.

He smiles and stops over by me.
"Hey Laura!!!!" He exclaims. "Oh hey!!" I say.

The conversation continues.
Then begins our constant flirting.
I've always had a thing for Luke and I can't deny that.

"So what're you doing later?" He smirks. "Laura things!" I giggle. "So how bout' a ride home?" He asks.
I honestly didn't know what to say.

After him admitting all his feelings for me I felt kinda of weird around him. But he's still one of the most trusted people I know.

Ross' POV

I was walking down the halls with Calum.

We've gotten real close. It's nice to have a real friend. Someone who knows and accepts you for who you are.
Speaking of friends.

"Yo Ross. What're you doing with clown kid. How bout' we go hit up a couple of beers and maybe get it on with some hotties?!" He while Cody was right beside him.

"ugh I have plans!" I murmur. While I walk away.

"Woah what was that all about?" Calum smirks out. "Um-" he interrupts me and says "Ooo you said no cause of Laura!!!" He giggles. "What- no! Calum, me and Laura aren't like that!" I exclaim. "Uh SURE!!! YOU DONT LIKE HER AT ALL. YOU GUYS JUST KISSED A FEW TIMES NOT A BIG DEAL!" He says sarcastically.

I roll my eyes as I see Luke and Laura flirting.
A rage of jealousy came.

With out even thinking I went over to Luke and Laura.

And

PUNCHED HIM.

"what do you think you're doing?" I exclaim. "What do you care? Go fuck a girl up or something!" Luke says while wiping his lip.

I punched him again.

He pushed me against the wall and punched me as well.

"GUYS STOP!!!!!" Laura and Calum cried out.
Laura was pulling me away from Luke and Calum did the same to Luke.

Luke pushed him away and said "WELL FUCK THIS SHIT. LAURA HAVE FUN WITH THAT MAN-SLUT!!!!"

Ouch.

That fucking hurt.

Me and Luke were like brothers.

WERE.

Even though we aren't friends anymore I wouldn't expect out of all the people he would say that.

I may be all kinds of horrible things. But being called that. Hurts into the gut.

Realizing who I am kills me.
I tear up a little and run away.

"ROSS!" Laura screams. But I didn't go back.

Laura's POV

That was crazy like fuck.

Luke and Ross just beat each other up
right in front of me.

I am so fucking thankful that none of them got seriously hurt.

Well Ross ran away.
I am determined to find him.

"Calum, do you have any idea where he is?" I ask. "Ugh... Try the park it's close to the school." He replies. "thanks man!" I tell Calum.

I walk out the school doors and hop into my car.
I drove to quickly to Miami Park.
As I got there I already see Ross swinging on a big tire.

I run over to him and with out a single word I sat next to him.

I laid my head on his shoulder as he tightly grips on my hand.

I look at him as I say "Ross, I am completely and utterly confused okay. What are we? Where do we stand? Cause I honestly don't know!"
I seriously had to get that out of me.

He looks at me and says "I don't know if I want you, but I do know I don't want anyone else to be with you.."

Right there.
In that very moment.
A little ray of hope came into my heart.

A few seconds of silence.
As we kiss.

Gently and pleasurably a few more times until we let go.

I lay my head back on his shoulder as we were watching the sun set.

Ross' POV

Right now.
This moment with Laura, I wouldn't trade it for anything right now.

"He's wrong... You're not that kind of person." She mutters. I already knew what she was talking about.

"Thanks..." I say while cuddling into her more.

We start swinging a little higher and higher.

"1..2..3...JUMP!!" We say as we land on the grass.

We both laugh as we lay down looking at the stars.

"This star thing sure is our thing!" I laugh out. "Well what can I say?" She giggles.
I start singing.
(Ross sings the chorus of 'Say you'll stay')

She giggles and says "you're so cheesy!" "I really like cheese!" I laugh. She rolls her eyes and says "Isn't it amazing?"

"What's amazing?" I ask. "All those constellations!! I mean it's so beautiful!" She says while tracing the Big Dipper with her finger. "You're such a dork..." I stutter. "WOW!!!" She says. "I mean adorkable!!!" I exclaim.

"Whatever Ross!" She says.

oh Laura Marie Marano... I THINK you've got me head over heels for you.

I know Ross as Laura seem all perfect right now.
