Chapter 20: You

- 3 days later -
Laura and Ross been texting constantly. But after the incident with Luke, Laura from time to time in the last 3 days has been turning down Ross' offers to go on dates or just to hang. She thinks it'll be better if she avoids seeing him for awhile just to lay down her down her feelings. As for Ross he hasn't hooked up with any girls.
Laura's POV
It's about 5pm I just got done skyping the girls.
I decide to head out to get some ice cream near the beach .
I feel like I need some time to think about life. (Her outfit is posted above)
I wear a black spaghetti strap a sweater some jeans and brown combat boots.
I head down stairs as I see Vanessa watching TV.
"Vanessa I'll be out for some ice cream! I say" "okay... Be safe babe!" She yells as I open the door.
I started walking to the ice cream vendor near the beach.
As I got there....
Out of all the people I could possibly run in to I see
ROSS SHOR LYNCH.
We walked at the ice cream vendor at the same time as his eyes widen.
He's probably here with another girl.
"Laur. You're here!!!" He says happily. "Hahah yeah I just wanted to get some ice cream and just to think about life..." I smirk out. "Hey! Me too!" He laughs out. "So you with anyone?" I mutter out.
Seriously.
Had to ask that.
"No" he says.
I feel a little jumpy inside.
"So what are you getting?" He asks. "My fave. Fruity mint swirl!" He smiles as he says "one mini pint of vanilla and one mini mint of fruity mint swirl" he tells the vendor. "You didn't have to.." I say while blushing.
"So wanna hang at my tree house?" He asks flirtatiously.
With out hesitation I said
"Sure!"
We were walking going to house while eating ice cream.
"Mmmmm this taste so freaking good!" I exclaim. "I bet you taste pretty good!" He smirks.
There he is again with his seductive Lynch charm.
Ugh why is he so cute?
"Oh shut up Ross!" I laugh out while pushing to the side. He pushes me back.
Suddenly we got into a playful ice cream fight.
Good thing we didn't get so messy.
"READY OR NOT!" He yells while chasing me. I laugh as he grabs me from the back while tickling me.
"HAHAHAHA ROSS STOP STOP!" I exclaim.
He eventually stopped as we finally got to his tree house.
"We're here!!!" Ross says childishly. "Good to know!!" I laugh out while wiping some vanilla ice cream off my face.
We climb up as we sit down. I see the stars glistening in the sky as I say "it's so beautiful up here!" " I know" smirks.
I see a guitar as I point towards it. "Hey can can you play a song!!" I exclaim. "Ugh!!" He whines. "Cmon Ross!!!" I whine. "Fine!!! You know I only started using this again when I met you!" He says. "Well it's my pleasure!" I laugh out.
"So I wrote this song... But it's only the chorus though"
I smile as he starts singing.
(Ross starts singing his part in the song Here Comes Forever)
My eyes widen as I say "DUDE THAT WAS AMAZING!!!"
"Thanks... Rocky is suppose to sing some parts though..." He says.
"When'd you write that song?" I say curiously. "Years ago...." He stutters. "What? Wow!! I never knew you were into this!" I exclaim.
"Was into this...." He points out.
When he said that I remember what Luke told me about Ross.
"What happened?" I ask. He looks away as he puts down the "I eventually got tired I guess....people change Laur..." He sighs.
"But-" I say as he interrupts "look I don't wanna talk about this!"
I feel the sadness in the tone of his voice.
"Ross there are things you can't hide from forever... Sometimes you need to just let it all out!" I sigh while holding his hand.
He sighs and says "Laura, I trust you..."
I smile as I say "it seems like you're really enjoying every time you sing!" "Laur...it's different now.." He says. "Why Ross?" I ask. He looks at me in the eyes and says "what do you mean?" "Why'd you shut music out?" I insist.
"Laura look...." He says as I interrupt. "Ross tell me." I say while gripping his hand.
"I used to always play the guitar,sing and write songs. I loved it. Me, my brothers and sister and Ratliff even called ourselves R5. Believe it or not me Luke used to be so close but then I met Justin and everyone. Girls started falling head over heals for me so I decided to use that. I what I do cause it's what everyone expects...." He says while looking at me straight in the eye.
I can feel how much he meant it. I can feel how he's the same person with a different cover.
"Ross... Don't let anyone tell you who to be. Don't let anyone get in what you want. Ross you're who are. Not anyone's definition of you!" I say.
Wow Did I just say that.
Ross looked over me and hugged me tightly.
He let go of me and said "I needed that." I smile as we hug again.

Ross' POV
I just told Laura things I've been dying to tell anyone.
Wow that so relieving.
"So your turn...Tell me more about yourself?" I smirk out.
She laughs and says "well at least you know my favorite ice scream flavor!" "Hahaha...I mean you,you!" I laugh out.
"Okay okay. Well... My parents always go off to business trips and I always awfully miss them. But them um never know. I'm really glad that Vanessa's here. She knows me inside and out. Honestly that peir pressure you feel I was once on that phase myself. Back in Cali I wasn't the same person I am today. I guess I'm more me now!" She says.
"I love how you're so confident and open about things. I feel like I can just talk to you about anything...." I stutter.
Did I just say that.
"What can I say?" She giggles.
"So do you have any secret talents?" I laugh out. "Well I can sing but I'm not that good. I guess I could play the piano well.... I've always wanted to learn the guitar.." She says.
"Woah there! Hahaha can I here you sing?" I smirk out. "Well okay...I guess. But don't judge. I've been working on this song in the past week!"
(Laura starts singing the chorus of Heart Attack by Demi Lovato. I know she didn't write it okay. Let's just pretend XD)
My eyes widen after she was done singing as I say "you're amazing!!!! And I'm so gonna teach how to play guitar!" "Gee thanks..." She replies.
Awh I made her blush.
We talked more an got to know each other a lot more.
Soon Laura laid her head on my chest as we were star gazing.
"Beautiful isn't it?" She says. I looked at her and said "yeah it sure is!" She caught me and started to blush.
A shooting star just pass by.
It was amazing.
"So what'd you wish for?" I ask. "If I tell you it won't come true..." She smirks out.
Suddenly without even having second thoughts our lips connected.
It was different though.
It was real.
I've never even had a real kiss before if that makes sense. I could call this my real first kiss.
Our lips let go as we both smile.
"You like me don't you?" I say confidently.
I had to say my play boy line.
Ugh Ross.
"Don't be so sure of yourself yet..." She smirks.
"So I should be headed home.." She says. "I'll drop you off?" I offer.
We walked back to her place.
We exchange good byes as she kissed me on the cheek.
Laura's POV
Wow.
Did all that just happen.
Ross opened up to me.
I opened the door as I see Vanessa eating some Ravioli.
She smiles and says "you were with Ross weren't you? I mean cmon its 9:30 pm and you left for ice cream 4hrs ago!" "Ok. But we ran into each other so we decided to hang out..." I blush.
"So what happened?" She asks. "Well we went up to his tree house and got to know each other and-" She interrupts in excitement. "AND AND?!?!?!" She exclaims.
This is why I loved her... Ha!
"And we kissed!!!" I say happily.
"You like him don't you?" She asks. "I don't want to..." I say. "But you do?" She insists. "I do..." I sigh.
There I admit it.
I've fallen for Ross Shor Lynch.
Didn't see that coming.
Ross' POV
I got in my room and told Rydel everything.
"YOU LIKE HER! YOU LIKER HER!!" She teases. "YOU KNOW WHAT? Fine I KINDA do...." I mutter.
Her eyes widen as she says "Ross Lynch actually likes a girl for the first time in forever!!!" She laughs out.
I roll my eyes and start to think.
Do I really like Laura?
I think I do.
