Chapter 4 | the phone call

y/n: i'm sorry did i wake you

Erwin: No hange is here again and they drank what was it 4 cups of coffee maybe?,

NO! 5 cups hange says in the back.

Erwin: oh well 5 cups anyway they're keeping me up with them.

Hange: Ooo is that y/n!? tell her i said hi!!.

Erwin: I'm pretty sure she herded you.

we both laugh.

Erwin: Why did you call, everything okay?

y/n: Yeah i just- i just miss you guys that's all.

Erwin: We miss you too, you sure everything is okay you sound a bit sad.

y/n: Oh no I'm just tired. That is all I had a long day. in fact i think i'm gonna get ready for bed i just called to say i miss you. I said that instead of the real reason that I'm struggling and need help.

Erwin: I miss you too, don't worry everything will be okay make sure get some sleep okay and tell levi- hold on i think hange is making another pot of coffee i have to stop her i'll call you tomorrow.

hange!! No more coff-

The phone hung up before I could even say bye, I shook my head and laughed.

Before I get up and get ready for bed I lay my head on the couch and look out my balcony door looking at all the city lights from far ahead. Then suddenly I hear a knock on my door, I jump from being startled.

Who can be knocking at my door at this hour? It better not be levi making another apartment exception to make sure i'm keeping up with it,

I walk over to my door and slowly open it to see Jean, eren and that girl eren was waiting for.

Jean? with confusion i say. Are you drunk?

No are you someone who walks in the rain without an umbrella.

I roll my eyes. 

smelling the rum off him and then there being the stupidness i could tell he's drunk.

Why are you here I ask?

remember that one time i got locked out my house, he replies

what one time are we talking about because as i recall there were 5 times.

jean proceeds to flip me off,

well it happened again and you being the wonderful person you are, you keep a spare key to my apartment so be a doll and help me he winks at me.

alright come in if you like i'll be back. i say

As I left them I heard their footsteps enter my apartment, I got the spare key I kept in my nightstand not being surprised that this happened again. I come back to them, seeing Jean laying on my couch holding my cat and eren leaning on the kitchen island that separates the kitchen from the living room. And that girl from earlier who i still don't know the name of standing next to eren.

here it is i hold up the key.

ahh your the best, jean says as he gets up from my couch and makes his way over to me.

he puts his arm over my shoulder and takes me with him to unlock his door. eren and that girl follows along, we reach his door that was only a few steps from mine.

I continue to unlock his door and open it.

there you go. 

what would i ever do without you y/n,

Jean grabs my head with both his hands and kisses my head.

I roll my eyes, laughing and walking away.

goodnight jean,

goodnight y/n he raises his hand. eren and that girl walk into his apartment with him.

That was pretty extra for what Jean did just because I unlocked his door, I mean he is drunk. I say to myself he's so flirty when he's drunk.

I look at the time and it's 3:00am, I should go to sleep now before I miss my alarm again.

I made my way to get ready for bed. I changed into my pjs and finished brushing my teeth. I made sure my door was locked and so were my windows. I grabbed my cat and headed into bed, I fell asleep as soon as I laid my head onto my pillow.
