Chapter 5 | New neighbor

                                                          *alarm goes off*

I slowly open my eyes and reach for my phone to shut off my alarm.

It's currently 5 am and I have to get to work to open up before 6 am only having 2 hours of sleep. I'm exhausted. But Levi has a business trip tomorrow so the shop will be closed for a couple of days. I'll get some sleep then.

I started getting ready to leave after I freshened up and changed. I say my goodbyes to my cat and head out the door. 

Leaving my door, I see the apartment next to me is getting rented out.

I wonder who can be, I say to myself.

Then suddenly this blonde-haired boy with beautiful blue eyes walks out of the apartment

We make eye contact and he gives me a warm smile.

Hi, I'm y/n.

I'm Armin. He replies, reaching for my hand.

I take his hand as he continues to tell me.

"I just moved in apartment 205"

Well, I'm guessing we are neighbors now I reply.

Yeah, I guess so. Armin says still having that warm smile.

Well, I have to get going to work. I'll see you around Armin. I waved him goodbye.

See you y/n he waves goodbye back.

He seems nice. I say to myself walking to work.

I still need to figure out how I'm gonna pay rent this month.

No, we're not thinking about this right now let's just get through this day. and I'll figure it out tomorrow.

I reach midnights and start opening up the shop. It took me about 20 minutes to fix everything.

The bell rings from the door, Levi enters

Good Morning boss, I say

Morning l/n. well be closing early today around 10 pm so if you don't mind close up if not I'll have Sasha do it,

No, I can do it. I say

Hey, l/n is there something going on that you're not telling me.

No? why would you say that? I say concerned.

You called Erwin last night.

You know just because Erwin told you to check up on me you don't have to actually do it.

He didn't tell me to check up on you. Levi says.

Then how did you know I called him.

Hange called to talk about different types of coffee they tried and they mentioned you called so is there something going on.

No really everything is fine. I say

Alright, he says in a way like he didn't believe it. he continues to walk in the back to his office.

Hey, boss, I say stopping him before he can enter his office.

He looks up at me.

Did you only hire me bc Erwin asked you to give me a job?
