Chapter 14 | breakfast for lunch

We get to the old dinner and get seated in a booth. Jean and Eren both sit together leaving me facing them.

What's everyone getting, Jean, says.

No idea Eren says looking at the menu.

Uh the breakfast looks good I say looking at the menu.

Who gets breakfast in the afternoon, Eren says.

I guess me, I told Eren.

You know what y/n breakfast sounds good I'll get that as well. Jean says

Bunch of weirdos Eren says to us.

The waitress makes her way over.

Hello I'm hitch I'll be helping you today what can I get started for you.

Your number will be nice Eren says winking at her.

Sorry about him he doesn't get out much Jean says, I'll take the breakfast special and so will she Jean says pointing at me.

And I'll just take a burger and fries and your number if it's still an option Eren says.

It never was hitch says winking back at Eren.

Your food will be right out, hitch says walking away.

Eren you're such an idiot, Jean says.

Says the one using the barista. Eren says whispering.

Jean then kicks Eren's leg under the table leaving the table to shake.

I then look up at both of them taking my eyes off my phone.

Huh?

Nothing Jean says. Erens an idiot and thinks he knows everything.

Technically I do, Eren says.

And what do you know Eren?

Before Eren can say anything, Hitch comes back with the food.

Here you guys go, hope you enjoy it. Hitch then slides Eren a piece of paper leaving jean to roll his eyes.

Let's just eat, he says.

                                                       ~Fast Forward~

After we got done eating and splitting the bill. Jean and Eren get up from the booth.

You ready y/n, Jean asks.

Uh actually Sasha is picking me up if you don't mind we're gonna hang out for a bit.

Don't you have something else to do on your list? Yeah, but I can do it later.

Thank you tho for all this you didn't have to.

Listen y/n. If it's what Eren said he-

What did Eren say? I interrupt.

Nothing, I said nothing. Eren says.

Uh yeah, I guess I thought Eren said something jean says. Scratching the back of his neck.

Well, I guess I'll see you guys later. I tell them

Yeah, see you jean says. Both of them walk out of the dinner.

I feel bad lying that Sasha was gonna pick me up but hearing Eren say jean is using me kinda hurt my feelings and left me to wonder why he would be. and I didn't want them to know I knew what Eren said so I'm just gonna let it go.

I then call an uber and wait for it to come so I can finish the list and go back to my apartment and clean out the room and probably cry.

The uber arrives and I go on ahead and finish doing the last thing I had to do which was drop the rent money off. After I did that I took an uber back to my apartment. 

Walking into my apartment I walk to my couch dropping on it and pull out my phone to text Levi telling him I finished everything. I need to start cleaning now. I get up from the couch and grab a garbage bag and boxes to put in the storage downstairs. It's currently 2:50 pm so it should take me about an hour or two and maybe after I'll go grocery shopping.

I open the door to the extra room I'm giving Sasha and it's completely cluttered. I make my way in thinking about where to start. Levi always taught me to start with the garbage so I'll start with that.

4 hours later and I finally finished. I didn't think it would take me that long.

I start taking the boxes down to the storage. Down to the last 3 boxes. I pick up one before getting interrupted by Armin walking out of his apartment.

Hello y/n what are you up to?

Just moving these down to storage.

Do you need a hand?

No, it's okay I only have 3 left I can handle it, I say out of breath.

I'm gonna help you anyway, Armin says, picking up 2 boxes that were stacked on each other.

We make our way down to the storage room and we place the boxes in there.

I'm finally done. I say wiping the sweat off my forehead.

Hey y/n you have anything planned. In the next 20 minutes? Armin asked.

No, not that I can think of why.

I have dinner cooking would like to accompany me?

Yes, I'd love to, I just need to freshen up will that be okay?

Yes it will be just fine, Armin says 

We make our way back up to our apartments

See you, y/n Armin, waves walking into this apartment.

I wave back walking into mine and going straight to take a fast shower,

Getting outta the shower I put jeans on and a regular black long sleeve.

I dry my hair but leaving it a little damp.

I usually wouldn't say yes to having dinner with a person I met once but it's too late to go

Grocery shopping and I'm hungry.

I make my way next door knocking on Armin's door.

y/n come right in Armin says greeting me at the door wearing a white apron.

Thank you for having me over.

I figured it would be a great way to get to know each other better and get to be better friends. Armin says walking me to the dinner table, here take a seat.

Thank you, I say smiling.

Armin wakes his way to the kitchen and comes back with two plates of spaghetti.

Wow, it looks good.

Thanks, it's my mother's recipes the garlic bread to Armin says taking off his apron and sitting down.

After 30 minutes passed we had already finished eating and we were just talking, getting to know each other and telling each other old childhood memories.

It was around 8 pm now and I told him I have to start heading out.

Thank you y/n it means a lot to me keeping me company. I was pretty bummed out when my girlfriend Annie's plane got delayed.

Yeah, no problem thank you for having me. Next Time dinners on me.

Armin lets out a soft laugh giving me a hug goodbye.

Armin is one of the nicest people I've ever met. I think we're gonna become pretty good friends. He kinda reminds me of Erwin a little bit.

I step into my apartment and change into sweats and I decided to take a nap for at least 20 minutes.
