🌪
Today was the day. The day he would kill his father. But could he do it? No one could know, not even him.
At this moment Zulee was in the training grounds practicing his dual element. One hand controlling an orb of water, the other summoning fire.
The more he concentrated, the angrier he got. His emotions were taking the best of him. Soon the orb on his left side splashed and popped while his right flames began to grow stronger. The small red fire grew into a raging blue flame crackling at the tips, about to burn his hand. But, he didn't care. He didn't notice.
That was until Hana and hong entered the training grounds.
"Zulee!" Hana yelled, breaking the princes fire, and burning him a bit before he stopped.
"Ouch he said, as he shook his hand, releasing the fire. Hana ran over to him and began to heal his burns with water. As she did the couple looked surprised.
"How did you-"
"I don't know. I just didn't want to see you hurt, then it happened." Hana said, cutting Zulee's question off, "Are you alright?"
Zulee smiled and placed a kiss on the girl's head, "Yes, I am now."
"Ugh, you too are being disgusting." Hong groaned before asking, "What are you doing out here anyways? You hate the training grounds."
Zulee shrugged, "I guess I felt like becoming stronger, to defeat my enemies."
Hana and Hong looked at him confused.
Zulee sighed, "Nevermind, I have to go to a meeting, see you later?"
The other two nodded and Zulee went on his way.
Hong shuffled over to Hana as the room was left, "Somethings up with him."
Hana nodded
"Should we keep an eye on him?"
She nodded again.
Zulee was now walking down the main hall, making his way to the advisors quarters. Unbeknownst to him, Hong and Hana was on his tail.
"What is he doing there?" Hong whispered, and Hana shrugged, "I don't know?"
"He didn't tell you anything?"
"No..."
A few moments later, Zulee came out of the advisor quarters, carrying a sword, looking around making sure no one saw him.
He cautiously turned the corner and headed to the throne room.
Hong furrowed his eyebrows, "What the heck is he going to do?" Hana shrugged and hurriedly followed Zulee to the throne room, "I don't know, but we have to find out."
So, the two waited outside the room, hoping to hear or see glimpses of what's going on. However, all they knew was that many soldiers would enter the room, but none ever came out...
_~~~_
"Zulee, i didn't ask for you." Zaisu spoke with a cold tone, "What have you come for?"
"I came for you." The prince spat as he drew his sword. "You can't control me anymore."
Zaisu laughed and commanded all his soldiers to kill Zulee. Zulee, on the other hand, grew with anger. Flames burning of his arms and shoulders like wings. His sword slashed anyone coming at him, more he slayed, the angrier he got.
The fire no blue, he scorched anyone who touched him, even those who blocked his path. Blinded by rage, he mercilessly killed all who were unfortunate to face him. The flames danced about his body as he maneuvered through the room, screams of agony and fear would echo.
Finally, Zulee reached the throne where his father sat. The tips of the fire crackling, almost like electricity, that's when it sparked. The flames became like lighting, bolts of electricity swirled around him as if he was the God of thunder.
Eyes glowing, he walked to his father and grabbed him by his neck, slowly forcing him to his end. "This is for the years of torture." his squeezed once, "And this is for my freedom." He squeezed again, this time not stopping. The king was almost gone until the doors were slammed open.
"Zulee!! Stop!" Hana yelled, and Zulee was shocked back into reality once again. He let go of his deathly grip, causing the King to melt down and fall onto his throne, unconscious but still breathing.
"H-Hana? Hong? What are you doing here." Zulee stammered, trying to wipe the blood from his hand and face, but it was no use.
"What are YOU doing." Hana said with tears in hers eyes, "Why are you doing this."
Hong on the other hand backed away, thinking that this might turn into a lovers quarrel and he does not want to be caught in the crossfire.
Zulee hugged Hana, accidentally smearing some of the blood onto her. "I'm so sorry. I-I did this for you."
"For me?" Hana pushed him out of the way, "Why would you slaughter over 50 people and kill your own father for me."
Zulee started to tear as well, "Because he would've killed you."
Hana stares at him furiously, "I'm fine on my own. But, you need to take the consequences of your actions."
Zulee nodded, "Of course, anything. I-"
Zulee was cut off when the advisor and some of his underlings entered the room. "There she is! The traitor! Arrest her at once and her accomplice over there." He guestired to both Hana and Hong, who were both forcibly taken into custody and beaten to the ground, so that he would kneel to the prince and the advisor.
Unai continued his commands, "They are accused of attempted murder of the royal line and murder of our finest soldiers. Hana, as the main culprit, will be declared imprisonment for life and Hong, as an accomplice, will be banished from the Fire Nation. If he ever steps foot in our land, he will be executed on the spot."
Hong fought against his hold, "You got to be serious! We did nothing wrong! It was Zulee, ask him!"
Unai sighed and turned to the prince, "Do you have anything to say."
Zulee looked into Hong's pleading eyes and Hana's sorrowful ones. He knew this wasn't right, but he couldn't find any words to say. So, with soft eyes looking to the ground, he stayed silent.
"Well there you have it." Unai clapped, "Take these two away."
And so they left, but Hong was less compliant than Hana. Yelling, cursing and dramatically recalling his days here.
Zulee just watched the two go with tears in his eyes. What has he just done?
"You did the right thing," Unai reassured, but did he? He feels like he was torn to pieces and bolted to the ground, was that what freedom was supposed to feel like?
