Chapter 23

He wraps his arms around me and hugs me tight "you are fucking crazy woman" he whispers against my hair , I just tighten my arms around him . 

We keep hugging until he pulls away and looks at me "are you okay ?" he asks, I nod "yes" . 

"Where's that fucking guy ?!" he glowers and I grab his shoulders "No no please let's just go back to the hotel please Lucas" .

His eyes soften then he sighs . thank god . 

We thank the man and Lucas gave him money for using his mobile , he refused it but Lucas insisted . 

Then we both head out , his arms around me and we climb into the car .

As we get in the car I finally can see and breathe normally ..I feel dizzy because I haven't been able to breath normally since I figured that I was completely lost .

I just lay my head back and close my eyes , I feel Lucas's hands on mine and I don't mind them . 

"Evangeline i'm so sorry ..he really made me angry" Lucas says and I just sigh .

"I know " I say and and we go into silence . 

"I think he has feelings for you ..that's why he lost his mind once he knew I was with you in the room " Lucas says quietly . 

"I know " I say again and look at his grinning face , I grin along with him opening my eyes . 

" Too tired to think of another answer ha ? " he says and I shake my head .

"No I really know that he has feelings for me ..of course he does ..we're still not completely over each other .. well , I am  " I say and Lucas looks at me confusingly ..oh yeah ..he doesn't know . 

"Max was my boyfriend " I say and his eyes widen . 

"Really ? " he says simply moving his hands away , please dear god don't make him angry . would he ? why would he ?

" Yes ..we broke up not so long ago ..I know he still have feelings for me but that doesn't give him any right to do what he's doing ..we're just friends now " I say and Lucas looks in my eyes .

"Do you also have feelings for him ? " he asks and I wanna say that it is none of his business but something inside stops me and I find myself answering him honestly 
"no ." i say and he nods then turn his attention to the view out the window and I can't see his expression ..i'm so tired . 

"I promise you , tomorrow will be better " Lucas says out of no where ..I look at him and smile " I really hope so " I say then lay my head against the car seat again ..drifting into deep sleep with a smile on my face .

"Wake up Eva , we're here " I hear a soft voice  as I open my eyes slowly to see that i'm sleeping on Lucas's shoulders . 

"I'm sorry " i say and he smiles .

"It's fine Evangeline " he says as he opens the door and extend his hand for me to take ..we get into the hotel and I see Lisa sitting next to Max who has his nose bandaged up ..and I look over to Lucas' face , there are scars ..how didn't I notice them ? . 

"Eva ! holly shit you scared me to death " Lisa says running towards me so she can hug me and I hug her so tight ..I need any kind of comfort right now . 

"I'm fine I just need to sleep " I say and I feel very dizzy that I almost lose my balance but Lisa catches me .

"Oh my Eva .. you really need to sleep ..here are the keys to your room ..but do you need me to stay with you ?? " Lisa asks and I shake my head .
