"Good morning " I say after we all sat down . everyone nods and murmurs a good morning back .

" I wanted this meeting just to let you know that I have singed the contract with the Greys and it's Legalized so we can start working tomorrow , or even today if you want " I smile , I'm glad I haven't told them that I lost it in the first place so I won't have them throwing questions on how I got it back .

They all smile except for Lucas , who's watching me like a hawk . "Any question ?" I ask ignoring him . "I have a question" Lucas says , oh no .

I nod for him to ask but i'm nervous as hell , will he ..? no he won't ! he's not that much of an asshole .

"Why did you have a meeting with Robert Grey yesterday ? " he cocks his head to the side . I glare at him but quickly recover .

"We needed to fix couple of things before we officially legalize the contract Mr.Patterson" I say and he acts confused .

"But they offered you the deal long ago , why didn't discuss everything before ..I just find it weird that you spent almost week and a half just discussing small details " .

I smile "I'm a perfectionist when it comes to work and contracts ..any other question ?" I ask , no one asks anything .

"Good then we should be able to start working " We discussed few things and they offered few ways to start the project , it's working perfectly .

When we finished I walk away from my chair "Mr.Patterson I need you to stay " I continue before he gets out of the meeting room .and when everyone is out , I close the door " what the fuck Lucas ! " I say and he eyes me questioningly ..just like as if nothing ever happened in the meeting .

"what ?" he acts dumb , I shake my head .

"What ? really ? you trapped me in there ! thank god I knew how to get myself out of it " I say a bit loudly , he lets a mocking laugh .

"You said , any questions ? ..and I had a question " he says simply making me angry ..he's so inconsiderate .

"But you know the answer to it , why did you have to ask me ?"

"I wanted to ..if you're afraid to be caught then you shouldn't have asked if anyone has a question" he says and I get closer to him .

"I'm not afraid to get caught because what I did was the only thing that has to be done ..and I was brave enough to do it ..maybe if it was you , you wouldn't do it . you'd just give up and give him the contract but not me ..I take this job seriously " he raises an eyebrow

"And I don't ?" he asks and I nod .

"Really ? " he lets out another mocking laugh " you know what , it's not your fault ..it's my fault that I always help you and always get you out of the trouble you're in ,you could've been slapped in the face today ! you could've been humiliated but I stepped in " he says focusing on the I .

"Any man in your place would have done the same thing ..that's why you're called a man " I say then continue " plus , you know that after what you called me and after the shit you gave me I could have cancelled the whole couple thing and let you face your angry mother but I didn't ..so who's helping who in here ? "

" I know you helped me and I did thank you for it , you on the other hand , instead of thanking me ..you're fighting with me "

"Thank you ? for what ? for almost telling everyone about what happened ?" I scoff

"Yes ! because I had the power to actually tell them everything ! specially that I don't agree with you and that you did everything without telling me or taking my opinion " he has a point ..but i'm not giving him that . Here we are again acting like children and throwing old shit at each other , I feel like we're 6 rather than in twenty-something .
