Chapter 30

Lucas~

She plays efficiently , she closes her eyes and smiles while her fingers run on the keys . 

Her dimple flashes and I take my time to look at her beauty . I need to get a grip over myself . When she finishes she looks at me and grins , now there's a dimple on each side . 

"It feels like i'm in a whole different place when I play" she says closing the keys lid . "gotta admit you're great " I compliment her . 

"Thank you " she says and looks down at her watch . "shit , it's late , I gotta go "she stands and I feel the slight stab of disappointment . i'm swooning too much . 

I stand and walk to the lobby behind her " I will pick you up tomorrow morning " I say taking out her trench coat and helping her slip it on . she nods "Okay , i'll be waiting" she says taking her purse then stands next to the main door . 

"Thanks for dinner , I might call you sometimes to order food " she giggles and I smile "don't count on it Leonard " . 

She opens the door and step outside , Ben is waiting for her and I pull her hand "Evangeline thank you for doing this for Bonnie , thank you for understanding what my mother is like and offering this deal to save Bonnie from harm . I know i'm hard to deal with , I know how hard this act is for you but just so you know I appreciate everything " . 

She stares at me for a little then shakes her hand and smiles "i'm happy to help " she says then walks down the few steps and walk to the awaiting car . she waves for me before getting in the car . and I wave back then go back inside . what a day . I walk to my study room and sit on the couch to think over this situation . I could easily lawsuit my mother and get rid of her harassment but I know Bonnie wouldn't like it and it would never be the same for her , people will find out and everything will hunts her everywhere she goes , and all of that is because of me , because I was such a fuck up . 

I sigh and remember how she's optimistic all the time , even now . Everyone in this world has something that ruins their view of life , fucks them up and mess with their mind . Bonnie is not one of them , she creates her own happiness , and that what makes her strong . 

My thoughts turn to Evangeline , a mystery I haven't solved yet . I knew about her mother , but not specifically . She's a rush of emotions but she's so good at hiding them , I still want to know her , what she's hiding and what's inside her head . 

I enjoyed her company tonight more than I thought I would . Let's see what tomorrow hides for me . 

The next day I wait for Evangeline in my car in front of her house , she's late today and I wonder why . few minutes later she comes out running wearing white and black short fitted dress with her high heels and I hold my breath while she takes the last steps . 

she could have fallen . she climbs in and breathes hard . "Sorry for being late , my alarm was broken" . 

"You could have fallen down running with those heels " I mutter disapprovingly . she rolls her eyes "I'm used to them don't worry " . I shake my head exasperated . 

"You roll your eyes too much " I say as I head out of their garage . "I wonder why " she mutters annoyed , here we go . day one of our deal is going down already . I glance at her then back to the road . 

Her hair is up today and I needed to focus on driving than her soft skin that shows up where the hem of her dress hugs her flesh tightly . I almost groan but I hold myself .

When we arrive she gets out and I follow behind her . her heels echo through the quiet garage and we both step into the elevator . she steps closer to me and holds my hand taking me by surprise "show time " she says without looking at me .
