Broken Aphrodite

Chapter 10

Eva~

It's not what expected, I .. myself have forgotten my own birthday, and to see everyone here for me, even Lucas.. is overwhelming and i just can't put my happiness into words. 

I hug everybody and they all wished me a happy birthday even Lucas mumbled his "Happy birthday " . Everyone i love is here, and the hall looks so amazing with those decorations, it's my favorite place because i love the view it offers, I'm so impressed and fucking happy Lisa did this. 

"Lisa you are the best, really. " i say hugging her for the hundredths time since i got here , she laughs a little and says "Max helped me with everything ".

we pull away and i look over Max who was standing with my father and Lucas, i mouth "thank you" at him and he smiles his sweet smile. 

My eyes meet Lucas' ones and they were dark, i nod to him and he nods back. He's wearing a gray blazer with dark dressed pants and white dressed shirt another suit but so hot. I look away and continue chatting with Lisa and some of the girls in our department and drinking my white wine. 

In the middle of the party Lisa drags me and seats me, then she asks everyone to sit as well and disappears quickly, suddenly the lights goes off and all i could see is a large white screen written on it "Hi Evabunns" the nickname my dad used to call me. 

And then pictures of when i was little appears in a slide show. 

The first one is when i first learned how to ride a bicycle without the supporting wheels, i was smiling a huge smile and i have a missing tooth, i laugh at it along with the people watching the video with me. 

The next one is me wearing high heels that are waaay too big on me, holding my dad's hand for support because i can't walk in those shoes, there's smudged lipstick all over my lips and a tiara over my head , i put my hand over my mouth, this picture my nanny took it, i remember it, my mom wasn't there but i don't remember why, she wasn't there in most of my happy moments, and i remember how she left us a couple of years later, i close my eyes and shake my head, not now Eva. 

The third picture is me hugging my first pet, a little kitty, but in that picture the little cat was dead, she got hit by a car and I'm crying while holding it close to me in the picture, i smile sadly at this one. 

The fourth one is when i was only two, sucking my thumb while sleeping in the babies seat in my dad's car, i shake my head laughing a little, Lisa did it on purpose. 

The next thing is a video of me and my dad...

"Look who's here!! " my dad says loudly when he picked me up pretending that I'm an airplane and started spinning me around , i was four, and i couldn't stop laughing when he did that, mom was filming this video but she didn't speak any thing. 

"Daddy put me down" i squeal and my words weren't that understandable, dad put me down but he started tickling me "daddyyy stahp puease" he stopped tickling me and then started kissing my face as i catched my breath "bunns do you love daddy?" He asks breathing heavily.

I nod smiling widely "i lobe daddy so much" he laughs and bites my nose, "daddy will always love Eva" , and then the video ends . 

The last picture is me sleeping in his lap while he stares at me with a small smile. And the video ends with "Love you Evabunns".

I feel my cheeks getting wet with my tears, this video is the best thing I've ever seen, those lovely and wonderful moments i shared with my father are the most precious ones . I try miserably to wipe my tears away, the lights are on again and the whole room claps for me as i stand in the middle, i hate the attention but i just smile and continue to wipe my endless tears.
