Chapter 2

Eva~

"I don't know what happened miss , we were in a meeting talking normally , and he started feeling pain in his chest " he says in a calm but slightly annoyed voice .

I don't say anything I just hold myself together because the last thing I want is breaking down with all these people around me .

The men with suits go to Lucas to tell him something , he nods and tell them something too and then they come to me .

"We've got to leave now miss Leonard but we hope he'll be fine " one of them says politely .

I nod and give them a weak smile and with that they walk out of the hallway to the elevator leaving me with the last man I want to be with now .

He's sitting in the chair in front of me with his hands on his knees and staring at the wall . he looks so tense ...the doctor comes out and I get up quickly  .

"Doctor , is he okay ?? " I say with shaky voice feeling Lucas getting up with me .

"Yes miss don't worry ..he's fine ..he just needs some rest , we'll take him now to another room and after this he'll have to get away from any stressful situations " the doctor says in an assuring voice and I let out the first proper breath since I heard the news . 

The doctor looks at Lucas then leaves and I turn around and look at him, he looks relaxed unlike two minutes ago . 

"I'm glad he's fine miss Leonard , I'm afraid I have to go to work now ..I'll call to make sure he's fine " he says in a polite tune .

I nod and say "thank you Mr.Patterson " he smiles and walk out .

I watch as they take my father out to another room, he looks pale like a ghost . I put my hand over my mouth to stifle my sob, oh papa.

An hour later my dad is still asleep, I stroke his face and hair while kissing his hand, praying silently for him to be okay, I can't bear it if anything happens to him. 

The door opens and I see dark brown hair, Lisa. oh it's so good to see her . 

She closes the door behind her , I get up and she hugs me tight "hey sweetie.. how's Richard doing?" She whispers to me.

"I don't know.. he needs some rest" I pull away and we both look at his pale sleeping face "lots of rest " I say quietly.

Lisa rubs my back trying to comfort me, "he's a strong old man don't worry about him" she says and I smile a little. 

"Are you hungry? Do you need anything? " Lisa asks as we sit beside dad's hospital bed, I shake my head, I just want him to wake up.

Me and Lisa stay silent for a while just looking at my dad sleeping peacefully . 

As on cue I watch as my father stirs and move his fingers, I quickly get up and clasp his hand "papa.." I whisper , he blinks several times and then opens his eyes slightly I smile at him "Eva.." his voice husky.

"Hey" I put my hand on his cheek . "welcome back Mr.Leonard!! " Lisa says a little too loudly , my dad smiles at us.

"Even Lisa's here?" He says quietly. 

"The whole company knows you're here Mr.Leonard, we're all worried about you" says Lisa and he sighs. 

"Do you need anything? " I ask him .

"Just water". I walk out to bring him some water and come back as fast as I can . 

I sit next to him while he's drinking " what happened papa ? " I ask him .
