||Kite x Reader|| "You're not alone anymore"

Also the reader will go by they/them only bc I dunno what pronouns you or the person that requested it goes by sooo to the story now.

Kites pov

I was out wandering the woods to get away from my crew and to get my mind off things. The whole chimera ant thing has been stressful so I needed to get my mind off it and train. As I was looking for a spot to train I heard a faint whimpering come from the derection I was headed. "Huh?" I said scanning the area, while scanning the area I saw a person huddled up in a ball under a tree. I picked up my pace starting to jog to the person huddled up under tree. "Hey what are you doing out here!?" I said stopping infront of them. The person sitting on the ground looked up at me with teary eye's. They looked about my age they where all brused up and had cuts on them. "Hey what happend?" I ask again "P-Please don't leave me everyone always leaves!" They cried between sobs. I was taken aback at their sudden reaction "H-Hey I'm not going to leave okay" I said grabbing their shoulder "what is you're name" I asked in a stern tone,eager to find out what happened and why they are out in the middle of the woods. "Y-Y/n my name is y/n" they shudder,their E/c eyes looking in mine. "Okay y/n I'm kite and I will be taking you with me, I expect a full story when we get to our destination." I said picking y/ n up "o-okay" y/n blushed.

After letting y/n adjust in my arms,making themselves comfortable I slowly start walking. Half way through our walk I look down at y/n and see that their a sleep. I lightly sigh and keep walking,eventually getting to my house.

After arriving and walking in the door of my home I set y/n on the couch with a spare blanket. "This kid what happend?" I muttered to myself. I ruffled my hair and walk to the kitchen preparing tea for when y/n woke up. After chilling in the couch and watching some tv I heard y/n shuffle around on the couch,slowly opening there eye's and making eye contact with me. Right then the tea kettle started screaming "tea is done you ready to tell me how the hell you ended up stranded in the woods?" I asked looking back at y/n as I was pouring tea in a cup. "Yeah" they responded quietly.
I came back in the living room handing y/n a cup of tea,and them taking the tea,sipping it. "Ow!" They yelled sticking their toung out. I couldn't help but chuckle "You idiot" I laugh "okay buddy we just met,at least I don't look like a grandpa in the wrong time era!" They yelled sticking their toung out at me "wow looks like our lost rat has a sense of humour" I say sarcastically. "Why thank you" they said in a flattered tone,placing their hand on their chest. I chuckle again. "Okay gramps I'll make this long story short. I came from a small town around here and was treated like trash making me vulnerable and people hung out with me either as a date or because they had pitty for me. Don't remember much of what happend before i came here but what I do remember was hanging out with someone I liked and next thing I knew I was being pooshed out of a car and into the woods,tumbling down the hill. I was out there about a week. I've felt so alone yet it wasn't something I hadn't gone through before" they said with there head low. "You're not alone anymore" I said getting up and sitting next to them "Say y/n how bout you stay with me for a while" i smile. "That would be nice"

you're pov

"Wow you're sure special" I heard a cocky voice call out. I look up to see a white haired boy and a green haired boy right next to him,Both leaning on the walls. I look at the kid with white hair and look at kite. "This you're kid?" I asked pointing at the kid. "No!" They both he'll in usion "these brats are helping with a mission" kite shrugged. "I'm no brat you old man!" the kid with white hair yelled "killua! Shut up!" The green haired kid said through his teeth, elbowing killua. "You shut up gon!" Killua said through his teeth,elbowing him back. Kite sighs and I laugh "I like this kid already"
"It's like a minny you" kite scoffed " ooooooo" killua while him turned his back towards us hugging himself,rubbing his hands up and down his back. Making kissing noises. I laugh and kite yelled "Hey to you're room!" He yelled snapping his fingers at them,killua and gon laugh and run down the hall.
'I think I'm ganna like it here' I smile to myself 'no... I know I'm gonna like it here...'

And from this day on I've been by kite's side and got really close to the two boys and the team. Kite was right I'm not alone anymore...
