Aera's Public Image

Aera debuted at the age of 16 and was for the most part accepted along with the other girls. The only complaint was that she was too young and sexualized too early. She was still a young girl and Blackpink's concept was a bit too much for her age. Though YG fought through this claim that this was the style that all YG girl groups would have/had. Aera did not have many lines in whistle and was mostly thought to be a visual of Blackpink and a dancer. However over time, Favoritism started to show, and now the complaints being made were that Aera had too many lines and screen time compared to the other girls. This of course wasn't her fault but YG's instead.

Aera on stage is viewed as the ultimate powerhouse and is known to have the best stage presence, even being argued as having the best stage presence in the whole K-pop industry. 

Offstage, Aera can switch between being the baby she is or being a savage Maknae. Usually Aera sticks to her members and can be seen hugging them or making conversation with them because she's bored and wants attention. Or on a live, she can be making fun of her unnie's ages and calling them old and trying to explain current trends from her generation. 

Blinks know she is the cutest when she is shy and around new people and when she's in her feisty mood she comes off as adorable.

As for scandals, Aera has never had any and she tries her best to maintain her public image as well as YG "protects" her the most which also angers the fans.

Aera also made a promise after debuting to YG himself that because he was letting her debut at such a young age and the least amount of trainee time she would not let her age get in the way of her work. This meant that Aera put restrictions on herself. 

Those restrictions included never complaining, and never being the problem when it came to working with others. For example, if working with a choreographer Aera made a point to learn the choreography fast and perfect it so no one ever had to look down at her and blame her age or lack of trainee years. 

She also put herself on her own dating ban. She will not be dating and will not have any distractions after her debut. Not until she was where she was supposed to be in terms of success. This is what she had promised YG and has for the most part kept that promise.

She of course has been linked to *many* other Kpop idols for simply just making eye contact with them. But none of them have been true and she can often come across as intimidating for the personality she shows on stage the unbothered queen. 

Because of her non-existent scandals, she can be referred to as "The Nation's First Love" or "Korea's It Girl". She ranks high on Korea's list of beautiful women and ranks high in popularity in Korea and Worldwide.

Because of this YG takes extra care in protecting her because she is seen as a powerful figure in the Industry so YG does its best to keep Aera's image clean by deleting comments, videos, and pictures that can tarnish her image.

Aera's stage name means LOVE, which is the vision YG Entertainment has always had for her. To be Loved.

She is also very attentive to Blinks. At Fan Meet, Blinks often speak about how Aera was so easy to talk to and you could have a nice genuine conversation with her. If she notices a Blink is uncomfortable or shy, Aera puts more effort into talking with that fan and making them feel confident.

Fans love Aera during concerts or when meeting fans because she is known to take a fan's phone and take either a very meme-worthy pic of herself or make a video of herself on their phones.

There is also another viral video of Aera running away from her managers to where Blinks were and giving them all high fives while laughing. (She later was scolded but she still does it from time to time)
