2 Years Later we successfully released, "Playing with Fire", "Stay", and "As if it's your last". The songs were received well and now we were getting ready for our new song, "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du"
I was practicing really hard because I was told that I am officially the center of the group. Which meant "I set the tone" for the performance says the choregrapher.
This was also the song where I had the most lines in which kinda scared me because I had to have the best breathing control and be more stable when it came to my singing.
Recently there has been an uprise in Kpop where we are seeing more attention from the West which is exciting because shouldn't all music be made to be "worldwide". For anyone to be able to listen to and feel something from the beat or lyrics. It's why I love music.
*Jennie walks into the dance practice room on a phone call*
"Okay I'll see you then," Jennie says before making eye contact with me
"Oh, Aria is here too!" She quickly adds in noticing my curiosity to who's on the other end of the phone.
"I'll make sure to bring her with me," She says with a smile while I roll my eyes. I was not in the mood for interaction with others today.
"Bye!!" She ends the phone call walking to her bag and putting her phone away.
"Who was that?" I ask
"Irene" Jennie says casually to which I jump up with excitement.
For those who don't know...
Irene is the leader of Red Velvet aka our sister group! We all love to hang out together and sit with each other at award shows. Jennie had introduced us all to Irene and from there me and Irene hit it off really quickly to the point I consider her like a second mom.
Blinks often like to joke that the Maknae of Red Velvet and Blackpink could have been switched since Yeri gets along so well with my Unnies (not that she doesn't with her original group members) but vice versa where Red Velvet likes to surround me and I become a baby in their group.
"Were gonna meet up for dinner and you are joining us" Jennie states
"Like I would ever miss a chance to see Red Velvet" I reply back with a grin while Jennie smirks back with an eye roll.
"I'm still your favorite unnie though" She tries to assure herself rather than me while putting her arm around my shoulder.
"Is your name Jisoo?" I ask with an innocent smile.
"Yaaa Aria" Jennie complains to which I laugh it off and go to center position indicating we should get back to practicing.
After practice, our manager drove us back to the dorm to which both Jennie and I run to the shower since practice made us all so sweaty.
