When I'm with you
I feel like a clown
I'm trying all kinds of tricks
Breaking all my bones on bricks
To get an ounce of your eyes on me
To get a jiffy in your moment in time
I don't mind embarrassing, shaming, hurting myself
To get that one look on your face
To get the corners of your lips up
When I'm around you honey,
I feel like a clown
I hide all my pain, forget about all my gain
Put on my widest smile,
Give it all my efforts while you revile
Put that mask on
And forget that I have a face too
let you get a laugh
on my behalf
when I'm with you honey
I feel like a clown.
