I want to hate her

I want to say she's not pretty

That you deserve better,

Like your friends once told me

But I can't, she's gorgeous

More than I can ever dream to be

And she's not petty, like I wanted her to be

And she loves you, you know that

And I do too,

But I want to hate her.

I want to hate you too

But I love you too much for that

I want to play the victim, be the target of your murder

But you're too much of a gentleman for that

Don't tell her that you love her, like you once told me

Cuz even though I want to hate her,

If you hurt my best friend like you've done to me

I promise,

I'll make sure you forget that once you experienced a loving side of me too.
