Intoxicating, your love is.
I said I was never a fiend
But that's what they all say, isn't it?
One taste, and the addiction starts
You showed affection once,
Now I thrive upon it.
Hallucinate your care,
imagine you standing there.
Sometimes, you're my greatest protector,
Sometimes, you're the demon I need to be saved from
You over-love sometimes,
I'm begging for your attention at the others,
No, you're no longer the guy I fell for
But I'm living for your love still
It comes in bits and pieces,
And I'm picking them up still
Trying to collect, put them together,
Join 'em together, maybe get the old you back?
