"Yah! Shin Ryujin! Did you just eat all the mocha breads when I was watching the cheerleaders?" A girl yelled at her friend with anger.

Shin Ryujin? I snapped my head toward the source of the voice, but it was too late to take a better look at the said-girl because a crowd of students scurried between us, trying to leave the bustling hall as soon as possible to get to their designated classrooms. I tried stretching my neck up to scan through the sea of students in case she was still there. To my luck, I saw her pushing through the horde as she was struggling to run away from a tall brunette, who seemed to be chasing after her. Well, the tall brunette won't be the only one who's going to follow her because I am also planning to do the same. Hence, I pushed through the students, uttering some apologies to the people I bumped into.

"Hey! Watch where you're going."

"What the-"

"Oof-"

"Isn't that the new transferee?"

"She looks familiar to me."

After a while of wriggling free from the crowd, I let out a breath of relief as I finally managed to exit the hall. Then, I looked around, searching for any traces of that girl, whose name brought up a mixed feeling of guilt and wistful longing in my heart, but to my disappointment, she was already long gone. Hwang Yeji, come back to your senses! There are so many girls in South Korea with the name "Shin Ryujin". How could it have been her? I shook my head and wandered mindlessly along the emptying hallway with my head down, while students were entering their designated classrooms.

I feel like I forgot something important, but I can't put a finger on it since my mind is currently clouded with thoughts of a certain girl. Wait a second... I'm supposed to be in my class by now. Shoot! I'm going to be late for class! I don't want to make a bad impression on my first day of school! Therefore, I quickened my pace, eyes wandering around, checking for the door sign with Class 7-B engraved on it, but I couldn't find the said class to my dismay even though I reached the end of the hallway.

Great! Now, I'm lost! I frowned at the thought of being lost in an unfamiliar place and retraced my steps back to the assembly hall. The hallway is now empty and all the students are probably in their classes, so I have no idea who to ask for directions and I don't want to interrupt any class just to ask for help.

Suddenly, I bumped into a door that was opened with force as soon as I walked in that direction, and I fell on my hips with a thud. What a perfect timing! Ugh! I felt a searing pain in my forehead since it made a contact with the door before I fell down.

"Oh sh*t. I'm really sorry. I didn't see you there," I heard a soft voice, so I looked up, rubbing my forehead, to meet an adorable girl with flawless milky skin, crouching down in front of me with one of her hands extended to help me stand up. I didn't hesitate to take her hand, and she pulled me up.

"Wait... You're one of the cheerleaders I saw on stage," I discerned with my eyes wide open.

"Yeah, my name's Lee Chaeryeong and I'm the school's cheer squad leader," she introduced herself with a heartwarming smile before she started looking at me in utter bewilderment. "Your forehead is turning red!"

"Is it?" I touched my forehead again, feeling the soreness on it.

"Come on!" She exclaimed, grabbing my wrist and leading the way to god knows where.

"Um... Where're we going?" I asked her dumbfounded. "I actually have class right now."

She turned to me with a trace of concern visible in her eyes. "We're going to the infirmary to get your forehead treated."
