Yeji's P.O.V

"Somi-yah, I love your script so much," Yuna complimented Somi when I walked into the class.

"Hi, girls," I greeted them, and they both looked my way with welcoming smiles.

"Hi, Yeji," they greeted back. Then, I glanced around the class to see if Ryujin is present, but she isn't in the class, thus concerning me. "Where's Ryujin?"

"Oh, she went to the music room to practice," Yuna replied, holding a stack of papers in her hands, probably Somi's audition script.

"Thanks," I muttered, setting my backpack down on my chair and rushed out of the room to go to Ryujin. I passed Lia and Chaeryeong along the way, and I just waved at them as a greeting without uttering a single word.

I could hear the sound of someone playing a guitar the moment I got nearer to the music room. Gradually, my feet shuffled toward the room as I tried to figure out the familiar chords being strummed on the guitar. The door is slightly left ajar, revealing an engrossed girl strumming the guitar and humming to some lyrics. An adoring smile tugged at my lips while I discreetly pushed the door further, and tip toed into the room, not to disturb her practice.

"Yeji-yah, you scared me," she exclaimed the instant she looked up from her guitar, holding the left side of her chest— obviously surprised by my presence.

"I thought you were gonna dance?" I voiced out, taking a few more steps closer to her.

"Well, change of plans," she said and shrugged. "Someone just made me change my mind yesterday." She showed me her whisker-dimpled smile and pressed one palm on the speaker box she's sitting on as she leaned back, while holding the guitar in the other hand. Seeing such a handsome sight in front of me made my heart palpitate.

"And who's that someone?" I inquired albeit knowing the answer already. Soon, I'm already standing right before the very eyes of a handsome girl, who's grinning at me from ear to ear.

"A stupid person," she jeered, earning a tweak on her philtrum from me. "Why do you keep twisting my poor philtrum?" She whined with her philtrum being twisted, but I refused to let go and I leaned in.

"I'm not stupid, monkey," I murmured and twisted her philtrum more, not until I noticed her puffy face and swollen eyelids. "Did you cry that much yesterday?" I asked her in a sympathetic tone and cupped her cheeks as I pouted.

"Well, I gotta let it all out," she responded; still displaying her adorable whisker dimples. "Thanks to you I felt so much better though."

"I'll always be that somebody you can lean on, arraseo?" I reassured her, patting her cheeks gently, and she leaned into my touch like a kitten being petted. "So, what song are you practici- Omg! Is that your guitar? You brought it to school?" My eyes widened, finally meeting her long lost guitar after ages.

"Yup, mom didn't come home yesterday, so I managed to take this baby out," she told me with a smug expression.

"Hello, Guitarjin." I caressed its body. "I've missed you so much." Then, the owner pouted.

"What about me?" She queried me, using her aegyo voice.

"I've been seeing the owner for nearly two weeks," I answered nonchalantly, intensifying her pout. "I'm growing tired already- Anyway, what song are you gonna perform?"
