Soobin's P.O.V
Seems like everybody's got a price
I wonder how they sleep at night
When the sale comes first and the truth comes second
Just stop for a minute and smileI heard a voice of an angel when I was on my way to the teacher's office. The door of the music room is slightly left ajar, so that I can peer at the angel singing so heavenly as she sat on a speaker box, with a mic in her hand. There's no body inside the room except her.
Why is everybody so serious?
Acting so damn mysterious
Got shades on your eyes
And your heels so high that you can't even have a good timeMy heart began to race just by listening to her soulful voice, and her expressions are on point. Soon, an adoring smile curved up my lips with the accompaniment of dimples on my cheeks. I pushed the door a little more— as stealthily as I can to see her clearly without disturbing her. I think Lia's practicing for the glee club's audition. Well, I'm a hundred percent certain that she will pass, or maybe more than just a hundred percent. I can bet my whole life on it because if she doesn't pass, then who on earth will?
Everybody look to their left
Everybody look to their rightThis is silly, but I honestly looked to the left and right, matching up with the lyrics, owing to my heartfelt support for my little strawberry.
Can you feel that, yeah
We're paying with love tonightYeah, I can feel your honey-laced voice soothing my ears and abstractly conjuring up the thought of floral and fruity golden syrup slowly flowing from the jar; ready to be added to the dough. Similar to the way you lighten up the atmosphere and manifest the sweetness of love in the air, the honey added to the dough helps protect the moisture of baked bread with a little bit of extra sweetness. I cackled at my own ridiculous comparison since it doesn't sound relevant.
It's not about the money, money, money
We don't need your money, money, money
We just wanna make the world dance
Forget about the price tagI bobbed my head lightly to the beats of music and pushed the door furthermore.
Ain't about the, uh, cha-ching cha-ching
Ain't about the, yeah, b-bling b-bling
Wanna make the world dance
Forget about the price tagAfterward, I took out my phone from the side pocket of my pants and secretly filmed her as she keeps singing. I mouthed out and hummed along to the lyrics together with her because I know the song; additionally, it's one of my motivational songs that never fails to remind me of the true values in society and how having more money than others doesn't actually make you feel completed or happier. Thus, people from various backgrounds shouldn't be discredited just because they don't reach your standards. It's, indeed, an intensely meaningful song.
We need to take it back in time
When music made us all unite
And it wasn't low blows and video hoes
Am I the only the one getting tired?
Why is everybody so obsessed?
Money can't buy us happiness
Can we all slow down and enjoy right now?
Guarantee we'll be feeling alri-I lost my footing and toppled over, accidentally swinging open the door with a bang as it slammed the wall, while my phone skidded across the floor next to her. Oopsie...
Hence, I lurched forward to snatch the device away before she could take a glimpse of the screen showing the camera app. Then, I was met with her astonished eyes when I lifted my head up in a crouched position, gripping the phone tightly in one hand.
