Yuna's P.O.V
"Good morning, Chaeryeong!" I beamed when she arrived to the class, energetically waving at her.
"Good morning too, Yuna," she drawled with her tranquillizing soft voice, returning my smile, while Lia was eyeing us skeptically as if our friendliness was a rare sight to see. Maybe Chaeryeong hasn't told her about yesterday. Somi was oblivious to our sudden change because she kept stealing glances at the window, waiting for a certain someone's arrival.
"I need to show you something," I told Chaeryeong briskly and grabbed her wrist the moment she finished setting her belongings down on her desk.
"Wha-"
"You'll see." I winked and dragged her out of the classroom, running together along the hallway until we reached the outside of the building. Then, I led us to a shady area surrounded by trees in the campus.
"Why did you take me here?" She asked inquisitively, eyes wandering around the area.
"Well, I've got a little present for you." As if being summoned, the present appeared from behind the trees, taking a few hesitant steps toward us with an embarrassed expression on her face— Shin Jimin. Identifying the figure in front us, Chaeryeong timidly hid behind my back, clinging to my arm tightly, so I straightened my posture to give assurance to her that I would protect her no matter the circumstances.
"Y-yuna-yah, what is she doing here?" The girl beside me stuttered inaudibly, looking up at me with uneasiness glimmering in her orbs.
"Don't worry. She won't do anything to you," I comforted her and patted her arm that is linked to my own. "Well?" I directed that question at the hideous bully in an authoritative manner, inclining my chin to express my anticipation for something from her. The senior girl just stood a few inches away from Chaeryeong, facing the ground and digging her nails into her skirt.
"What's with the silence?" I snapped, so she finally looked us in the eye and grumbled in annoyance.
"Chaeryeong-ah." I felt Chaeryeong flinched when her name came out of Jimin's filthy mouth. "I'm sorry for what I had done yesterday. Please forgive me, arraseo?" The bully apologized her with a sarcasm-laced voice, accompanied by a trace of impatience, getting on my nerves simultaneously due to her insincerity.
"Do it again!" I barked, receiving a baffled look from that vexatious face. "Apologize her properly again!" I enunciated every single word clearly in case she doesn't understand.
"Don't push your luck, Shin Yuna," the bully growled, seemingly pissed off by my audacity, but she is holding herself back owing to the fact that her minions are absent and I am a stronger opponent to her— not to mention that I'm also taller than her by several inches.
"Oh, you're mistaken," I leered, holding up my phone in her face. "I won't push my luck, but I might push this- I mean press this little upload button on the screen if you don't reflect on the things you've done to her and apologize genuinely." Sensing her delay, I brought my fingertip closer to the screen, thus eliciting a satisfying gasp from her.
"We ain't got time." I cocked an eyebrow, my fingertip just a strand of hair away from the button. "Tick tock tick tock... Time's-"
"Alright! Alright!" She blurted out with alarm and fell to her knees right before me. "Please don't upload them. I'm begging you!" I heaved an exasperated sigh and rolled my eyes to the back to my skull. The moment our eyes met, I signaled her to change the direction of her kneeling toward Chaeryeong with a sharp flick of my chin.
"I'm truly sorry for hurting you yesterday and it was a huge mistake of mine. I promise I won't ever bother you again. Please accept my apology and forgive me for everything I did," Jimin blubbered on the verge of tears. I turned my head to Chaeryeong and she nodded.
