Matt and Nick walked through Walmart looking for what they needed. They'd somehow ended up in the kids section looking at clothes, which was not at all what they were supposed to be doing. "What color do your girls like? Peg wants a picture of all the kids matching and somehow talked Gene and Sam into scheduling a family photoshoot," Nick said, looking at some outfits.
"Oh yeah, Samantha mentioned that to me. Are we doing that in a studio?" Matt asked, browsing some of the items as an older lady came up to them.
"Yeah I think so,"
"Excuse me," she smiled, capturing their attention. The men were ready to point her in any direction she needed, thinking that because they were in blue shorts she was confused. "I couldn't help but notice you two looking at kids clothes and wearing rings. Was it hard when you pursued the whole kid thing?" She asked. The men glanced at each other with a shrug.
"The twins were pretty challenging and a bit of a surprise, but the others weren't too bad," Matt answered, Nick nodding in agreement.
"Wow! Twins! And they didn't tell you beforehand?" She asked. Matt shook his head.
"We thought it was one baby and a boy, but they turned out to be identical twin girls," he replied. She slightly shook her head.
"I can't believe they don't have a better system for that," she said. Nick raised an eyebrow, looking from the lady to Matt.
"System?" He mouthed, earning a shrug.
"Well, that is wonderful to see dad's raising their kids. My nephew and his partner are looking into getting their first kid and I can only imagine the struggle you all must've had to go through. Amazing! You have a blessed day, okay?" She smiled, walking away. The in-laws looked at each other before chuckling.
"She thinks we're gay," Matt said.
"Well, your sweater vest and shorts doesn't help," Nick poked fun, walking away from his "partner" to find more outfits. Matt looked down at his clothing options with a shrug. He liked his outfit.

At home, Gene held her daughter on her hip, swaying, and humming to her. "Mommy, can we do bubbles tonight?" Aviella asked, pushing her hair behind her shoulder.
Sam glanced back to see her sister peck the child's head. "Sure. You want vanilla or coconut?" Gene asked. Sam watched them go into conversation about the bath time situation before her son came in to distract her.
"Mommy," he called, tapping her arms, indicating he wanted to be held. However, with Sam's condition, she lifted Zeek onto the counter and stood next to him. "Mommy, can- umm can I- can I,"
"Ezekiel, slow down, buddy," Sam gently reminded, running her hand over her sons head. The newly five year old took a few shallow breaths before figuring out his words.
"Mommy, can I go potty?" He asked. Sam took her son off the counter and walked him towards the hall bathroom that he would share with the new baby since the girls had a Jack and Jill suite.
"You don't have to ask, Zeekie. This is your house too. And this will be your room," she said, pointing out the huge empty space, before going into the bathroom across the hall. "Remember what daddy told you about peeing standing up?" Sam asked. Zeek nodded, as Sam started to leave. He was no longer sitting to pee, so Matt had to teach him how to aim and hold himself to ensure pee only went in the vicinity of the toilet. His accuracy was very off, but at least he hit the top and sometimes inside of the bowl.
Once the door was shut, Sam came into the living room to see Elora lying on the floor, scrolling through a book while Ellanie watched her read. She'd let her up from timeout, but she still wasn't allowed screen time unless everyone was watching TV or it was educational. And because the girls were quiet and getting along, she counted the book as okay, even though it was on the IPad.
