Sam laid next to Ezra, stroking his cheek. The kids had gone home and after bed Matt was coming back to spend the night. "Ezra, Ezra, Ezra," she whispered. The infant stared at the ceiling, his mouth wide open, biting at her hand. "You're hungry again?" Sam asked, pulling him into her arms and starting to latch. Ezra, still not sure of what to do, but Sam's finger in the process of latching. "Oh, shit," Sam whispered, readjusting her grip and trying again.
After a few seconds, Ezra was latched and Sam was on the phone. "Hey, mom," Sam answered, on FaceTime with her mother.
"Hey, Samantha," she smiled, taking off her glasses and dropping a book to the side. "How are you feeling?" She asked. Sam winced, feeling her son lose his latch.
"I don't know. I've never had a vaginal birth, so I'm confused. Still contracting, so that sucks. And like, I've had the contractions after the others were born, but this seems more intense," Sam replied, dropping her phone and re-latching Ezra.
"Can they give something to you?" Peg asked. Sam shook her head, finally able to have Ezra eating.
"I didn't ask and honestly, I don't want to see another nurse. I'm going home tomorrow, so I don't really care. But, while I'm thinking of it, are you coming over in a few weeks when Matt has to go back to work? I won't be able to have the kids alone over Thanksgiving break," she expressed, already stressed.
"Oh yeah! Of course! I will book a room for Dad and I. And we will come over everyday or as often as you want to watch or help or whatever. We don't want to get in your way, we just want to be helping hands," Peg answered. Sam took comfort in her mother's words. Since, healing from her stroke, Peg took a new approach to life and it was helping her daughters exponentially.
"Are you serious?" She muttered, setting her phone down to cover herself up, then propping her phone up and placing her newborn on her lap to burp him.
"What's wrong?" Peg asked. Sam got a good enough burp and laid her son on her shoulder. "He's big, Samantha," Peg said, getting a real-time look, at home. Glancing down to her baby, Sam pecked his tiny head.
"He's just a little long," she baby talked. "He was 6 pounds even, but was 21 inches long. He's just a little worm. But this little worm ate for five seconds, and said he was done. He's already starting with me," Sam chuckled. The mother and daughter continued to talk as Matt came in allowed his son to finish his nap on his chest.

"Okay, mom. I will let you go. Umm, text me your flight and hotel details. Ezra is asleep and I want to talk to Matt about something," Sam said, hanging up with her mom. Matt ran his hand along Ezra's back, placing his phone on the charger and dropping it on his bag.
"Are you hungry? I didn't think you were, but I wasn't sure, so I brought McDonald's," Matt said, grabbing the bag out of his duffel and handing it to her.
"These fries are cold, but I am hungry. He's been feeding every hour for the past five hours," Sam answered, sucking down her water and shaking the cup at her husband. "Can you get me some more?" She cheekily smiled. Matt looked down to his son, then back to his wife.
"I guess. You want him or crib?" Matt asked, sitting up and slipping his shoe on. Sam nodded her head over to the crib and opened her sauce cups. "I'm eating!" She smirked, taking a bite of chicken nugget.

Snow covered the quiet Jersey home in the beginning of November. Sam sat with the twins as they did their reading homework, Zeek and Avie were doing their Spanish lessons on the floor with Nick "supervising", and Ezra, who was already a week old, laid in his Rock With Me bassinet, aka baby taco next to Sam. "Mommy, what's this word?" Ella asked, pointing to her paper. From Sam's vantage point she had Ella on her left and Lo on her right, with the baby in arms reach.
