Bedtime - Yelena

Modern AU

It was getting late and you were already dressed for bed and comfortable on top of the sheets. You were curled up with your book, comfortable and relaxed.

Yelena walked out of the bathroom after changing and brushing her teeth. She crawls onto the bed and shuffles up to the front, laying herself down beside you, shifting her long body so that her shoulders were pressed against your side, and her head rested on your stomach.

You loved how cuddly Yelena was before bed; sure, she had quite the soft spot for you and only you, but before bed, she got even more clingy.

Getting herself comfortable, she rests against you and pulls out her phone, scrolling through Twitter and winding down for the night. Hardly looking up from your book, you bring a hand to her short golden locks, running your fingers through her hair and lightly scratching her scalp as you go. She hummed at your touch, adjusting her head closer into your body.

The two of you sit in silence for a while, doing your own thing enjoying each other's presence. You, slowly running your fingers through her hair, and her occasionally letting out small noises of satisfaction. After a while, Yelena shuts off her phone and throws it down beside her. Head still on your stomach, she turns her whole body so that it faces your own, and wraps her arms around your waist, snuggling the side of her face into your T-shirt. Out of the corner of your eye see her stifle a yawn.

You decide yourself to turn in for the night; quickly finishing your chapter and tucking the book away. With one hand running through Yelena's hair you lay the other one on her cheek and stroke her face gently. You can see her smile into your shirt, a small blush tinting her cheeks, ears starting to turn red.

Despite what attitude Yelena might put out, you knew she loved the soft attention that you would give her, and you knew at whatever opportunity she had, she would return it right back to you.

You giggled at her blushing face as she tightens her arms around you and buries her face completely into your stomach, hiding her blush. You giggle again and lean your body down to cradle her head and place a kiss on the back.

Yelena detaches her arms from your waist and drags herself to drape them around your shoulders, lifting her self up to take your lips in hers. Bodies and faces pressed up together, you lay back against the pillows, still kissing your lover. When your back hits the pillows, Yelena adjusts and climbs so she's perfectly above you, legs and hips pressed together, propped up on her forearms.

The two of you broke for air, and you looked up into Yelena's dark, half lidded eyes. Her arms were on either side of your head, and her short hair lightly brushes against your forehead.

Yelena stares into your eyes; the eyes that draw her in and put her under your spell. Yelena thought your eyes were some of the most beautiful things she'd ever seen. She loved them.

The two of you stared at each other briefly, before bursting into quiet giggles. You snakes your arms around Yelena's torso and pulled her down so that she was laying fully on top of you; your face tucked into her hair. She places small kisses on your exposed skin, and you place kisses on the crown of your head.

God the two of you were sappy. But god did you love it.

"Someone's cuddly tonight" you mumble into Yelena's scalp, a small smile on your face. You rub small circles onto her back with your fingers as she hums appreciatively, the vibrations of her voice shooting their way through your body, warming you up.

"It's cus I love you" you hear her mumble into your shirt, her deep voice always making you go warm. You tighten your arms as much as you can around her slender frame; caging her in your embrace. But it was fine. She didn't want to leave.

Suddenly Yelena rolls over, pulling your two bodies on your sides, facing each other. She pulls back a little bit to get a good look at your sleepy face. She smiles and starts peppering your face with kisses, making you giggle at how much it tickled. She pulls away and gives you a soft smile.

"Am I not allowed to show affection to my partner?" She asks in a light tone. Smile still playing on her lips.

"No, no, I love this, but better not let the world hear that THE badass coldhearted Yelena is actually a big softie" you tease her, unable to hold in a smile of your own.

She smirks a little back at you and shifts a little closer.

"They won't. This is only for you. All my love is for you and you only." Brining her forehead to rest against yours she keeps her gaze locked onto yours.

You feel your heart swell at her sweet words and you lean in to kiss her again, putting as much love as you could into the action. She kisses back just as passionately; placing a hand on your cheek. Eventually you pull away for air, but before you could go back to kiss Yelena again, you couldn't help but let out a yawn.

Yelena chuckles lightly as she strokes your cheek with her thumb.

"I think maybe it's time we go to sleep" she whispers and you could all but nod your head; feeling your eyes begin to droop.

Yelena leaned over; her long body stretching over yours to turn off the lamp on your side of the bed. Darkness took over the room, obliterating your sight and the world around you, but Yelena came back and pulled you towards her body, and you felt safe. With one final peck on the lips, you snuggle into your lover's body and close your eyes; hearing her mumble one last thing before you fell asleep.

"Good night y/n my love"

A/N: hey y'all I hope this makes up for the very poorly written last chapter lol. I've been thinking about Yelena a lot, and I feel like she'd be the type of person who's really cold and calculated, but has a HUGE soft spot for her partner.
