A new case

Hazel's POV:

My father is a strict man.

He does things for me that he thinks are good for me, which I'm thankful for, of course, but he cares for me a bit to much.

I'm in Me and Daisy's cabin, tears streaming down my cheeks, heartbroken. I had Alex for a minute, just a minute, and then I had to ruin it. It's my fault, of course. I wanted to stay in England. I was the one being selfish. I wanted to stop my friends from making me and Alex happy. I didn't want to purposely, but I caused it. I could have not stopped it, but I would've been sent back to Hong Kong later on. I ruined everything.

"Watson, I know you're in there,"

I ignored her.

"Hazel, come out, you're being silly," no matter how much Daisy tried to be sympathetic, it never works.

"We can talk!" I heard Amina's voice at the door too.

"I don't want to talk!" I said, " I'm a horrible person! I broke Alex's heart, because I want to stay in England" I broke down crying again, "I don't deserve you guys"

"Don't be stupid, Hazel, you're just human. And humans sometimes have to pick between dreams and love, of course, your dream probably it to marry Alexander, or to become a famous detective, just like me, so you could stay with Alex on both accounts, we just need to figure out how, and I'm absolutely excellent at figuring out stuff like this, so this case will be solved in no time"

I laughed. As usual, Daisy manages to be as Daisy—ish as possible in bad situations. I could almost see her through the door tilting her head up confidently like she usually does.

"Fine then," I said, "how do you propose to solve this case?" This was the moment when I would catch Daisy off— guard. She would never think of a plan this quickly.

"It's simple!" She exclaimed, "First, we have to speak to your father, second, we need to go to the library and research laws about Chinese marriage, third, we need you and Alexander to talk to each other, fourth, we need to find some secret to use against your father when he finds out about this,"

"Daisy! We can't act like Elizabeth Hurst! We can't use people's secrets against them!"

"Of course we can!" She said indignantly, "We are Heroines! We have solved nine murder cases in the past two years! So buck up Watson! We are going to solve this one! And we are going to start now!"
