Girls are like that

Alexander's POV;

"She's just upset, man, girls are like that,"

As I lay on my bed, reliving the words Hazel said, I'm sorry Alexander, it's over.

"All we need to do is talk to Daisy. She always knows stuff like this,"

"Yeah she does, but what would she be thinking?"

George didn't hesitate, "that's easy" he said, "first, she'll want to go to the library, second, she'll want to go speak to Mr. Wong, third, she'll want to find a very good sentence to use against him, and fourth..." he paused.

"Fourth?" I asked.

"Fourth, we need you and hazel to talk to each other,"

"Of course I'll talk to Hazel, I— I just don't think she'll talk to me," I frown.

"Of course she will! She's just a girl, and some girls need time with other girls when they're upset," George said in his matter—of—factly tone.

"And how would you know?"

"I— um, never mind that!" George turned red, "let's just go and find the girls!"

We strided towards the library floor (me tripping on air like usual), but then I realised it wasn't air.

"NOT AGAIN!!" Hazel's little sister May howled, "CAN'T I GET ANY SLEEP AS A PIRATE AT ALL?"

"Oh! Sorry May!" George said in his cheerful tone, "we'll be going now!" He pulls me towards the stairs, but then it was his time to trip.

"Ow! George!" Daisy yells, annoyed.

"Look, guys! Here's a good one! It says that Mr. Wong waxed his legs before his wedding with June!" Amina's eyes sparkled in the moonlight with excitement.

"Maybe find another one, Mie. That isn't a horrifying secret, it's an embarrassing one,"

"Finding a secret to use against Mr. Wong?" George asked knowledgeably.

"Yes, of course. What did you think we were doing?"

"Just asking!" Sometimes George and Daisy don't get along.

Then Daisy stepped aside to uncover Hazel, curled up in a ball. Her eyes stayed determinedly on the floor.

"Now I'm going to go and examine this extraordinary wall over there, are you guys coming?" George looks at Daisy and Amina.

"Of course, yes— so interesting," Amina follows him and Daisy.

And that left me and Hazel alone.
