How I found out

Hazel's POV:

I found out I was pregnant three days ago. I started getting some symptoms about five weeks after the wedding.

I called over to Dr Aurelius, and I explained my symptoms. He tested me with a needle, and two days later he called me on the telephone to say that the test was positive.

I was overjoyed at first. I was going to be a mother! I decided to tell Alex after the funeral, but then a memory came to me of Alex at the reception, drunk, saying how much of a grudge a child would make between me and him. I just remembered it while getting my purse. I'd say he was just showing off, but I remember that he kept "hinting" that he would "give it to some loner on the street".

I couldn't ever let him do that.
