One Day Last Fall

53 6 1

The sun shined brightly,

One day last fall.

It was breezy,

But that's how she liked it.

Blissfully calm.

She looked at the happiness,

Surrounded by rain.

The clouds were coming in.

From afar she could see,

The thunder and lightning,

Roaring like bees.

She couldn't prepare,

No matter how hard she tried.

The snow too cold,

The wind too fast,

And the lightning too bright,

When it hit her in the chest.

It was a sunny day,

One day last fall.

But the next day was winter

And that changed it all.
