I am sorry I'm me

I want to be there,

I am sorry I care,

I want other people to be happy,

Don't tell me not to,

You can't change me,

You can't make me,

I won't let you define me,

I might fight you,

Say I hate you,

But guess what,

Everyone does every now and then,

If you ran out in the pouring rain mad,

I will try and find you,

I don't care if I'm sick,

You made me who I am today,

I am happy for that,

You might not be,

Just learn to accept that,

Learn to accept me,

To appreciate me,

I could walk away,

You might be my father,

But I find ways to steal,

That doesn't mean I do,

I find ways to run away,

I haven't though,

It doesn't mean I can't,

I am just afraid,

But if I can now stand up,

I can now face my fear,

Get out of my face so you can hear,

My loud rawr of triumph,

Here the sound of my voice,

Here my courage,

If you won't take me,

I won't take your shit anymore,
