I can't believe that I was right,

I knew it that night.

I cried myself to sleep,

Skipped my meals.

Do you know,

You were on my mind.

I see it all now,

I knew it all along.

I guessed right,

Wow that's been my life.

I should've known,

But it's not my fault.

When I chased you,

You were already gone.
