Her Burden It Wasn't

The clouds weren't there,

When she slept that night.

But when she woke up,

She could no longer see the sun,

The stars weren't out either.

Time had stopped,

And the rain had disappeared.

Nothing could move,

No sound was made.

The only thing she could hear,

Was the heartbeat of her love,

As she wondered.

Looking for the heartbeat,

In the time break.

She ran looking,

With no light to guide her lost soul.

Maybe this was a test,

To show the rest,

That maybe they don't always know best.

It hurt her,

But she volunteered,

She remembered.

She would rather one suffer,

Than an ion die.

She hoped to see the sun,

Or at least a glimmer of hope.

But she woke up,

To the darkness,

But it was her or the world.

She was too kind,

The wonderful innocent girl,

Took the fall for the millions that deserved it.

Time stopped,

And she looked forever.

When she realized,

She was the sacrifice,

And now,

She's gone,

Dead,

Forever,

And the rest of eternity.
