A R A B E L L A ' S   P.O.V

Stretching like a lazy cat, I yawn, letting my body sink further into the soft bouncy mattress. My hand slides across the comforter, seeking out my husband's soft bare skin, only to find...nothing.

Peeking one eyelid open, I groan and slowly heave myself up. The comforter falls to my thighs, exposing my bare breasts and six month pregnant belly.

Small kicks hit my abdomen hard, causing a smile to break out on my face as I gently caress my bump. "Guess baby is up," He kicks my bladder hard, my need to pee becoming increasingly urgent.

After I had finished in the bathroom, I started to get ready for the day, my first mission to be finding my husband who's probably cooped in his office, trying to forget the fact that his father still hasn't woken up.

Four weeks and nothing, yet his vitals show that he's perfectly fine. It's up to him to wake up.

I know the lack of control of the situation is what it is frustrating Hardin, a man who likes to be in charge of everything to the best of his ability and it's not like he can just snap his fingers and Benjamin will magically wake up.

Believe me, he's tried.

It's still relatively early in the morning, almost six o'clock but my body has become incredibly restless since I've hit my second trimester, with the baby constantly treating my body like a punching bag.

I groaned as I dropped my shirt onto the floor, the material too far for me to reach. I try anyways, bending as far as I can go and straining my back in the process.

"Oh no, you're not." The shirt is swept off the floor and placed into my hands. Rowan is already dressed and ready, a splash of makeup coating her mocha coloured skin.

"How do you look so good in the morning? And energised?" I pulled my top up, and Rowan helped me to replace it with my silk cami.

"It's the four cups of coffee and the new makeup you got for my birthday. Thank you again but it was completely unneeded." I mentally rolled my eyes.

Her powder used to be cracked, her mascara bone dry and her foundation a runny mess. Not to mention she kept complaining about it to Flo, who obviously told me, because I was stressing about what to buy a girl who says she wants nothing.

"You're welcome." Shifting my eyes away from her, I drifted over to my vanity and began to brush my hair. "Have you see Hardin?"

"The King was said to be in his office, I think he's been there since two. Don't worry though, there's a guard stationed right outside."

I frowned as I set the brush down. "I thought that there were meant to be three."

"He dismissed the others." I sighed, and reached for a ribbon, tying back my onyx lock into a low ponytail.

That was another reason I gave Rowan the position of being my only lady in waiting. She knew everything.

"Are you going to see him? I heard he ordered two bottles of scotch to brought in. He could be in a bad shape Ari,"

"That's exactly why I need to go. Even if he doesn't want to admit it, he needs me." She nodded curtly, helping me out of my chair.

"Then I'll escort you down."

***

As I pushed the heavy door open, I silently dismissed Rowan who complied immediately. The room was in a messy disarray, papers strewn everywhere, empty glasses lying all over the floor and a tired King, hunched over the desk.
