My Dearest Arabella,
You never cease to amaze me. I got word of the way you put Lupin in his place and offered his wife protection. I also know that the hospital opening was a success, and we managed to raise more money than ever before.
That's because of you.
I hope you recognise the way in which your influence as affected others. You've not only helped the Palace and me, but you're helping hundred of thousands of injured people, who depend on the hospital.
I know that the hospital will be needed, the number of casualties were seeing everyday is doubling at an alarming right and I fear what may happen when we run out of supplies. This means I need your help.
King Gideon of the Southern Isles has supplies we need: food, medicine, equipment, weapons etc. I was in negotiations with him before I was sent to war, and I need you to complete the deal.
Give him whatever he wants because without his supplies I fear we may lose this war.
Remember that I love you, and I believe in you. If you ever feel lost, look up at the stars, just as I do every night. I feel closer to you that way.
I'll love you till my last breath and the eternity that follows. Forever yours, your loving husband xx
Carla rushed in suddenly, my new maid was panting for air, but the beaming smile that crossed her face let me know what was happening. "It's time." She announced.
I put the letter aside and dashed out the door. My feet donned slippers and I was wearing my silk night gown that caused me to shiver as a cold breeze rushed in.
My run to the hospital ward was quick and direct. A guard trailed behind me, but remembered to keep a steady distance to not crowd me. I couldn't wait to see her, to hold her hand and act in the place of her husband.
I couldn't wait for the moment I saw my nephew come into this world, and I couldn't wait to write all about it to Hardin.
"Arabella." There was a ghost of a smile on her face, and she sighed into relief as I barrelled through the doors.
"There's no rush your Majesty, Lady Rory is only three centimetres dilated." Rory huffed and slumped back against the bed. Doctor Evans, who was replacing Dr Harriet as she was acting as a surgeon on the front lines of the war right now, chuckled alongside me.
I grabbed the arm chair that sat in the corner of the room, and dragged it over to her bedside, ignoring the look of disapproval my guard, William, shot me.
