I stood there, anxiously waiting as I had done these past few weeks. My stomach was almost too big now, my due date coming up next month, and I was in that stage where you just want to rip the baby the out of you.

Gone were the horny stages of pure bliss where even the slightest touch could rack up an lifetime of arousal, gone was the pregnancy glow, and gone was the comfort of eating everything and anything.

Because now, I had huge swollen ankles that restricted my walking, back pain that travelled down my entire spine and oh yeah, a cold empty bed with no-one but myself in it.

I guess I couldn't blame pregnancy in that last part.

Hardin's therapist had suggested that we sleep in separate rooms whilst he recovers, which was fine...just until I realised we had just started sleeping next to one another again, and remembered how lonely and terrifying it had been sleeping alone all those months I thought he was dead.

It stirred up vile emotions I didn't ever want to feel again, but yet still I smiled. Because he was getting better. Remnants and small pieces of the old Hardin were beginning to push through, he was much calmer now, less things set him off and I noticed a resounding change in his aura.

We were soon in our way to having the future we had always dreamt of.

The heavy door clicked open, and he quickly stepped out, waving his therapist goodbye. "How did it go?" I nervously smiled. His face seemed stoic at first, causing my smile to drop, before he grinned and lifted up a document in his hand.

"I'm cleared. She said that I'm better and I can go back to my kingly duties. It also means we get to share a bed again." Squealing, I practically launched myself into his arms.

Well, as much as a pregnant woman could.

"Baby, I'm so proud of you." I peppered his face with kisses, the last one gently sweeping against his lips.

His hand buried itself into my hair, deepening the kiss with the slight plunge of his tongue into my mouth. Moaning, I clung onto the lapels of his shirt, praying that this moment never ended.

Then, it did.

"Ah, there you are." Huxley drawled, having no shame in disrupting our obvious passionate moment.

"Must you disrupt us? If you couldn't tell, I'm having a private moment with my wife." Hardin gritted out, then to my surprise, he slowly tilted my face back up to look at him and kissed me once more.

Desire washed over me, pure carnal desire, that flooded through my veins and intoxicated me like a drug. Suddenly, my awareness of reality was gone. I was no longer stood grounded in the Palace, Huxley wasn't watching us, hell gravity didn't even exist.

I was flying, soaring and ripping through the sky, space and more. Forever was just above the horizon and we were going to reach it, Hardin and I. We were going to make it there.
