"Can you massage my feet?" I scrunched up my nose at the request and giggled.
"Ew no." A deep chuckled reverberated from out of his chest.
"Are you saying that I have stinky feet, Arabella?" He clutched me tighter as though I was bound to disappear and titled my chin up.
"Yes, the absolute worst." I tried so hard to keep my face looking impassive but failed miserably as I burst out into another fit of laughter.
Throwing me back onto the bed, he begun to tickle me up my sides, reaching my worse spot. My body went rigid when he started to attack my underarms before I fell into a hysterical laughter and begun flailing around on the bed like a jellyfish.
"Baby stop," I whined but he kept up the assault for a minute longer, before finally accepting my surrender.
"You give up." Nodding, he straddled me and then bent down to brush my lips with his own. My tongue peeled out, wetting his slightly parted lips before he devoured my own.
Pulling away, I sighed. "Well, this was not how I expected date night to end."
He smiled, that perfect smile that made the butterflies inside of me flutter. "How did you want it to end then? Not in a tickle fight?" I shook my head, before hooking my leg around his waist and slowly dragging it up, alongside his shirt.
"Not exactly." I huskily whispered, and then he kissed me again, causing my hormones to rage throughout my body.
It had been week since we decided to share our pain and in that week we blossomed together. Our days were spent talking, eating and laughing with one another, whilst our nights we spent under the covers, holding each other close as we confessed our deepest feelings and thoughts.
I was so happy that the advisors had allowed us to have this week of just us. I don't know how Hardin had managed to convince them but I had a feeling it had something to do with Huxley grabbing my arm and the slap I had gifted him with.
Nevertheless I wasn't complaining. This week was pure bliss, and even though we hadn't taken it any further than a few stolen kisses and hot make out sessions, I was finally ready to put the past behind us and move on.
Tonight.
"Hardin, I want you." He pulled back, and his eyes bore down into mine with unspoken words. "I'm sure and I want you. I need you." My hands slipped under the back of his shirt, caressing his back softly and watching him relax under my touch.
"Your request is my comment, my Queen." And just like that he devoured my lips with his own, forcing me to succumb to ecstasy of his touch.
The door suddenly burst open and Doctor Harriet flew in, her eyes rimmed with black circles and coffee stains all over her jacket. A guard quickly followed her and began to yank her back, but she wrenched her hands free.
"Hardin, Arabella I know." Pushing Hardin off me, I sat up.
"Know that?" She shoved a few papers in-front of my face but the only thing I clearly understood were the words Blood Test.
