Chapter 9: Halloween

Olivia POV

It had been a couple of weeks since I hurt my wrist, it was much better but still in a brace just in case anything else happened, Luke and I were the same as usual with the fights. If anything it's been worse since the night he came over after my first date with Ashton.

Ashton and I had been on a few dates but hadn't put a label on it. We just knew we liked each other and he's cute and thinks I'm cute, we haven't really talked about what this was, and I wasn't sure if I wanted to.

Halloween is coming up. Ross Macmillan is Throwing a pairs costume party so everyone is panicking about who to go with and what to wear.

We're all sitting in the Dinner the day we find out. Luke, Calum and Michael are sitting opposite Claire and I'm sitting between her and Ashton, "Claire why don't we go as the Joker and Harley I can dye my hair green and shit?" Mikey says looking at her with puppy dog eyes, they were going on dates but haven't made anything official yet. I find it kinda weird that my brother and best friend are dating but they both seem happy.

"Who said I was going with you?" She teases and he acts offended and they're all cutesy.

"Are we going together, Olivia?" Ashton asks, looking down at me showing off his dimples.

"Um well I'd say yes, but I kinda think the whole thing is lame... I might just skip it and get drunk in my room by myself." I chuckled and they all looked at me like I was crazy. "what?..."

"It's Halloween and you want to spend it by yourself...." Calum says confusion all over his face.

Mikey rolls his eyes, "she doesn't like Halloween, never has she just comes up with a different reason each year. Last year she said it was because she had a migraine but then she blasted music in her room the whole night, and a few years ago she deliberately-"

I cut him off before he could continue, kicking his leg under the table, "Mikey shut up!" I grumble.

"Awe, is Lil Livvy scared of Halloween?" Luke teases and I glared at him.

"I'm not scared! I just don't see the point, we're supposed to dress up one night a year and if your costume isn't the right combo of slutty, scary and hilarious, then people shame you for the next year. Just seems silly especially for girls, we're just expected to have a slutty costume now and that's all the shops even sell." I ramble, getting kinda annoyed.

"Ok ok, you're not scared, just pick a costume that isn't slutty, like....Alice and the mad hatter or Romeo and Juliette?" Ashton suggested calmly.

I roll my eyes slightly and kick Michael again before he says anything about my middle name "she's always wanted to dress up like Juliette" he mutters quietly and I just glare at him for a second.

"Shut up Michael!" I grumble "I don't really like those ideas... those girls are worse than a slutty costume they do everything for a guy, it just seems stupid"

"We could all go as marvel characters? You could be a great poison ivy with your hair," Calum suggests pointing to my hair.

"Ohh I like that! She's awesome." My hair was starting to fade out but I liked it so much that I had mentioned I might dye it again.

"Then it's decided, you will be coming to the party dressed as Poison Ivy," Ashton chuckles, poking my cheek playfully.

"Right if Mikey and I are going as Joker and Harley, your Poison Ivy, we need Batman and Robin and Ashton you could be the Riddler?" Claire suggested.

"I wanna be Batman," Calum and Luke both say at the same time. And I can tell they are going to be fighting for the next week about who will be who.
