Luke POV
It's fair to say I wasn't able to sleep, everything that happened with Olivia was my fault, I felt terrible and it was all I could think about. I was just laying in bed staring at my ceiling thinking about everything, I had decided to let her have her space and hoped she would hear me out in the morning or something. I was so close to falling asleep from pure exhaustion when I hear the doorbell ring, at first I just think I'm delusional then it rings again and I pull myself up out of bed. Heading to the door, wondering if it's a serial killer or something, I open it and see Olivia pacing back and forth on my driveway like a maniac with a slight limp.
I swear this girl is going to catch hypothermia, she's still in the same clothes as earlier as if she fell asleep in them, she's soaked through and shivering like a leaf. "Olivia?!" I say trying to get her attention.
She stops pacing and looks up at me like a deer in the headlights, "hey..." she says seeming almost surprised that I came to the door. "I feel terrible, I shouldn't have said those things I should have just listened to what you had to say. I'm still mad but I'm willing to listen and I promise I'll try not to get angry again. But I was thinking about it all and I know you didn't mean to lie to me and-" she rambles and I walk out to her as she talks.
"Olivia..." I say standing in front of her to stop her from pacing.
Of course, she doesn't listen so she keeps talking, hardly taking a breath between the words, "And I know this whole thing must have been really tough for you because it's your parents -"
"Liv, calm down," I say holding her shoulders, rain now dripping down my forehead.
"And I totally wasn't thinking straight, you know I hadn't slept because of the whole Claire and Michael thing and-" I give up trying to stop her from talking, and instead focus on stopping her from having a panic attack and lean down and kiss her.
She takes a second but her breathing slows down she starts kissing back. It's as if everything stops all I can hear is the storm happening around us and even that seems to go in slow motion. We must have done this so many times by now but this. This seems different. I'm not sure if it was the fact we were kissing in the rain or what but I just wanted to stay like this forever, as cheesy as it sounds.
Olivia POV
I don't know what I was thinking right now.
Am I seriously kissing the guy I was shouting at a few hours ago? Yes.
Am I enjoying it? Yes.
Am I also freezing? Yes.
I pull away slightly, "Luke... I'm enjoying this but I can't feel my feet," I say tapping my fingers on his neck as I look up at him.
He chuckles lightly, his hair flopping in his face.
Before I can say anything else Luke tosses me over his shoulder and carry me into the house. "Lukkkee!" I laugh, the water going up my nose as my head is upsidedown.
He chuckles placing me back down when we get inside, "sorry, I just thought it was the quickest way," he smiles, "I'm just gonna grab some towels." he says, as he walks off.
I roll my eyes and awkwardly wait in the kitchen leaning on the counter. Luke comes back in with some towels and a change of clothes for me. "Here, I don't want you to get ill from staying in the same wet clothes all night... you can change and stuff in the bathroom," he smiles handing me the clothes.
Why does he have to be so sweet!
I give him a weak smile, kissing his cheek quickly as I walk to the bathroom. When I come back out he is drying his hair with a towel, it's gone all curly from the rain and I can't help but stare. I feel like I did when we first started seeing eachother, all nervous and unsure. I take a breath and walk up leaning on the counter opposite him.
