"I'm sorry, Ms. Brigante pero hindi ka na pwedeng mag-apply sa ibang company ngayon. Your name was already included in the University President's list of recommended students who will have their internships at their designated companies. Nandito pala 'yong details ng company kung saan ka maaassigned next month."

With still confused mind, I took that folder from Professor Mandy.
I came here in her office to submit my application for DFCS company in a hope to work with Cameron del Fuero but to my utter surprise, and balitang ito ang bumungad sa'kin rito.

With fumbling hands, binuksan ko na agad ang folder na'yon, curious to know kung saang company ako maaassign next month.

ASSIGNED COMPANY: MONTERO HOTEL & GROUP OF COMPANIES...

Shit!

Just reading that company's name, I felt like I wanted to vanish from Earth now and just live in planet Mars forever para hindi ko na makita pa uli ito.

After that kiss last Saturday night,  halos hindi na'ko lubayan ng ala-alang 'yon. With it keep appearing in my mind and even in my dreams. Gods!..

At gusto ko na talagang iwasan ito ngayon but here it was. Of all companies na pwede kong pasukan! Why does it have to his company???

Oh God. I felt like I'm going to have a headache dahil lang dito. I'm certain na may ginawa na naman dito ang Liam na'yon!

"Something wrong about it, Ms. Brigante?"

I quickly put up a face when she suddenly queried that, siguro napansin nito ang reaksyon ng mukha ko.

"No. Nothing's wrong, Professor but..."

"But what?" Usisa nito while waiting for me to continue.

"Gusto ko lang sanang itanong if I can still apply for another company---"

"No. You can't, Ms. Brigante. The president specifically ordered na hindi na pwede so we can really do nothing about it. Bakit? Hindi mo ba gusto ang assigned company mo? I'm certain the president won't just recommend his students sa maliliit lang na company so there's really nothing to complain about it."

Oh yes. Sana nga sa maliit na kompanya nalang talaga ako papasok kaysa sa kompanya ng taong 'yon!

God knows how much I wanted to shout my complain now but having no choice, sumang-ayon na lamang ako rito saka nagpaalam ng umalis. Walking towards the exit of the campus with heavy steps and with heavy feelings.

Yes. This is just a month-long internship but how could I possibly avoid him there kung makikita ko naman ito palagi sa trabaho? How could I live----

"What's with that long face now?"

That voice caused me to look up and I suddenly halted with my steps when I was greeted with Klent's smiling face. Looking so fresh in his uniform and with his still wet hair which I think he had brushed it with his hand a few times dahil medyo magulo ito ngayon.

And seeing him here now, I couldn't help but remember my bold act last Saturday night.

Oh yeah. Isa pa 'to. Dapat hindi ko nalang ito hinalikan nang gabing 'yon. Hindi na sana madadagdagan pa ang kahihiyan na nararamdaman ko ngayon.

I quickly straightened up on my feet and faced him while putting up a straight face. It'd be good if I'll just petend unaffected with that kiss now.

"Hi. Ah wala, Klent. Hindi ko lang kasi nagustuhan kung saang company ako papasok next month for my internship eh. I didn't know na tapos na pala akong irecommend ng university President..." Tugon ko na lang rito as I resumed my walk, sumunod naman agad ito sa'kin while intently listening to me.
