'Gin' i say, grabbing onto her arm as she stood up from sitting on the sofa, after having drinks with the family.

'You good Dan?' she asks, letting me drag her away from the others.

I guided her out the doorway and into a quiet corner where no one else could hear us.

'I'm going to tell you something but you have to promise not to say anything' i say quietly.

Her expression changed into a more serious and interested look, stepping forwards towards me.

'I promise'

'I'm going back with the twins, Fred and i need to talk things over'

'Are you staying the night?' she asks, raiding her eyebrows as she takes a sip from her glass.

'I honestly have no idea, but do you mind not telling the others'

'Where would i say you went?'

'I don't know, make something up' i try and smile, earning an unimpressed look from the girl.

'I'm only doing this because i want you and my brother back together, you owe me' she warns, pointing a finger in my face.

'Yes i do' i sigh, pulling her in and kissing her on the cheek.

'When you get back, you're telling me everything...but make sure he tells you everything aswell'

'Okay, that's fair' i breathe, much more relaxed now that i know I'll have an alibi for leaving.

We both returned into the living room, acting natural so we don't get asked any questions to why we snuck off together.

I looked over at where Fred was, with his mum, holding Louis in one arm, whilst laughing about something with Molly.

I could feel my heart flutter at the sight of it, he was wearing a long black coat, with rings at the bottom of a few of his fingers, and i couldn't get over the fact of just how effortlessly handsome he was.

'Right, we best be off, got to get the kids in bed' Bill claims, standing up whilst holding his middle child, Dominique.

Victoire, the oldest who was now four, came running up to me, holding onto my coat as i crouched down to hug her.

'Au revoir' she mumbled, gripping onto my neck and kissing my cheeks.

'Au revoir Victoire, ill be over to visit soon okay' i smile, tucking her hair behind her ears.

She smiled back, running around to the rest of the family and saying goodbye.

'I think louis wants to say goodbye to his godmother' Fred deep voice came softly into my ear.

I looked to the side, seeing that he was still holding the baby, motioning for me to take him.

I took louis out of his arms and into mine, smiling at the sleepy boy.

Fred stood just behind me, placing his hand on my back as he too smiled at the baby.
