・Y/N's pov
"Do you believe in reincarnation, L/N?"
"Huh? That's an odd question, but no not really since it never happened to me before," I chuckled, "And don't call me by my last name! You don't like it when I call you by Kibutsuji, so don't call me by L/N either."
Kosuke stifled a laugh and sighed, "I guess you have a point with your reasoning. And yeah, I'm not a big fan of my last name knowing that it's the exact same name from that villain you watch in that anime."
"Muzan Kibutsuji? I think it's pretty cool if you ask me," I replied, popping a piece of gum in my mouth.
There was a short comforting silence that bestowed upon us, giving me enough time to think about his question. Though, I've known Kosuke for a few years he always feels the need to be polite no matter what (ignoring his sometimes mischievous side).
We met through from our parents, who were both acquaintances and knew each other in a business standpoint. Even though I was fortunate to be born in a prominent family, it didn't change the fact how abusive my household was. Only Kosuke was the person who knew what I had to go through behind close doors, and he pitied me for it.
"I mean if I had the power to reincarnate I would like to go to an anime of some sort," I continued, "Not sure which though, maybe in an anime where I could make a positive impact in the... future."
Kosuke turned his attention towards me, "Future you say? Even if it affects this world?"
I nodded. Now that I look back to it, it was pretty oblivious of me to wanting to change the future of this world if I was ever reincarnated into another, but I never thought hard on it since reincarnating in general seemed fictional.
"That's a good mindset to have, Y/N." Kosuke smiled, "It's a nice goal."
I eyed him weirdly and shrugged it off, "Yeah, yeah. Not like it will ever happen though, I plan on saving up for myself and find new living. I can't deal with my mom, right now."
"I can help you, I have a lot of money you know?"
"I know you do, but I also do too." I reasoned, spitting my gum out to the nearest trashcan, "I want to do things my own right now, and as soon as I do I can finally say bye to this shitty household."
"How many years are you planning to leave?"
"Mmm, maybe 4-5 years when I'm finally an adult."
"I see," Kosuke looked down at his lap and looked back up to me, "Well, if anything happens to you in the future, it happens for a reason. You're gifted."
I arched my eyebrows and giggled, "You speak some wise words, Kosuke. What are you an old man?"
He playfully punched my shoulder, "I guess you can say that."

My eyes went wide and my breathing got heavy as drops of sweat began forming across my head. It was a dream, no, a memory from my previous life. I would've forgotten about it knowing how long that memory used to be, so why did I remember it now?
