--Charlie POV--
-Park-Evening-
Vaggie held my hand, and with the other, she held the picnic basket, filled to the brim with the food we picked up, a very fancy juice that resembled champagne, utensils, and of course, a small cake Vaggie picked up from a pastry store, and lastly, some two canvas and watercolor paints. Tonight was a great day for a date. We walked down the path, the atmosphere growing darker and darker the deeper we walked in. The city lights flickered, making it a bit harder for us to watch our step.
There weren't any other demons around, maybe cause it was getting late, or they were probably looming in the shadows, doing who knows what misdeeds.
I couldn't brush off the reflection from earlier. One I could only see. Back in the limo, I didn't want to stare at the mirrors for a precaution.
Why was I seeing it? It was stressing to think about, and at the moment, I just wanted to be with Vaggie, and forget everything. Just the two of us.
I held on tightly to Vaggie, not for fear, but because she seemed confident where she was stepping, and I didn't want to trip.
"The roses look beautiful.." I point out at the large bushes along side the path, where the roses grew beautifully. Their vibrant red color seemed to shine in the darkness, and resemble small red lanterns.
"Just like you." Vaggie complimented as she smiled and I quickly gave her a peck on the cheek.
"So where do you want us to set out the picnic?" She asked as the path divided into two different lanes. The scenery became familiar to me, since I remembered sometimes, before Pentagon city had evolved, and was a very rural place, me and My Parents would come here, and make picnics. We had a special spot, which was deep in the part, and rarely any other demon knew where it was.
I wanted to share the place with Vaggie, to show her how special she meant to me.
"It's a secret spot." I tell her as I take the lead and remember the familiar path. Passing plenty of more rose bushes, and turning lefts and rights, we arrived at a dead end. A single lantern flickering our spot. Vaggie looked around, making sure no threat was around.
"Arcanus." I whisper the secret word, and the bushes then grow into an arch, leading to a somewhat small pond, in the center stood a octagonal black wooden gazebo. In it's railings, roses intertwined themselves. A table for four was set up. and an arrangement of a big lantern accompanied with thorns was centered on the table.
"It's beautiful." Vaggie whispered as I guided her in, the arch then went back to place, secluding our small area. We walked down the black wooden bridge and went inside the gazebo.
Vaggie placed the food down on the table, and I helped handing out to one another. I then grabbed the glasses, and poured out the fancy cranberry juice.
"Allow me!" Vaggie and me said at the same time as we both pulled out chairs across each other. We both giggled at the realization and simply switch sides.
We sat down, holding our glasses in unison.
"To you Mi Amor."
"To you My Beloved."
We said as our glasses clinked with one another, the fancy cranberry juice swaying back and forth.
We then opened our food boxes; We both had ordered sandwiches, filled with a variety of vegetables.
"This place, is a very special place to me." I told her after I took a bite of my sandwich. She focused on me, acknowledging our conversation. "When I was younger, me and my Parents would come here. My Dad would sing to me and My Mom as he played the harp. Me and My Mom would stare at him in awe and dance along to the tune." I remember them, and without a doubt I can say that I miss them,
