-Charlie POV-

I leaned more towards the warmth, feeling the soft fabric rub against my cheek making me warmer.  I could feel my bangs gently blow, and on what I was leaning on, it moved up and down in a relaxed calm manner.

I held the coat closer to me, snuggling it closer to me and I started to gain consciousness as I looked up at the sky. The rich dark mahogany shade of the sky was now dissolving into that pastel pink shade I yearned to see.

My eyes darted around, noticing the canvas leaning against the rooftop edge not too far from me with the teacups right by it, my body covered by the soft warm coat of Al, and as I looked to my right I noticed I was leaning against his shoulder. He was softly snoring and as he did, little grumbles of static seem to cackle. He seemed at peace, and his smile didn't seem to be strained but natural.

I hadn't been this close up to him before, but from my point of view I could see his strong jawline, his long eyelashes. He was in a way attractive. But what caught my attention, was his little deer horns, that were hard to notice since they didn't contrast with his hair. They were sort of cute.

"My Dear, do you like staring at me?" I heard him which knocked me out of my trance. I felt my cheeks burn as I realized what just happened.

"I uh... I was just Uhm just.." I stumbled across my words, embarrassed that I had been caught staring at him. Now he was going to think I was a total creep.

"It's alright My Dear, I appreciate your gaze on me. It makes me feel seen."  His remark made me blush more as he emphasized his last word. He knew I was staring at him while he slept! Gosh, it sounded so creepy when I mentioned it again.

"I was noticing your little horns that's all!" I said I pointed to my head, hoping he would believe me. He let out a short chuckle as he touched them so delicately.

"I suppose there are something worthwhile to look at." He replied.

"I never really noticed them cause of your hair and ears. I think they're sort of adorable." I told him as I stared at them.

"I suppose so. Then again, they're not very adorable when I transform into my demon form. They grow quite large, in a very intimidating manner." I was curious to see his demon form. Rumors said that those who saw them were scared shitless. But Al didn't scare me, even though I knew I should by all the precautions Vaggie told me, and the rumors. But me and him had grown close, it would be hard to not stare at his demon form and not see him as my friend.

As I looked at him still touching his little horns I looked past him and looked at the now pink pastel sky. Such a rich, beautiful color, like as if it was the shade of a candy, with a rich flavor of watermelon.

"Al! Al! Look!" I told him as I pulled away from him and quickly stood up, picking up his coat, never breaking eye contact with the sky.

Al also stood up beside me and we both stared at the sky. The pastel pink endless sky that stretched out above us.

"Al look! It's truly beautiful!" I told him as I kept staring at the sky, mesmerized, and hoping Al would feel the same way. This same feeling of what I assume to be, perhaps hope.

"It truly is My Dear." I heard him while he stood beside me, staring at the sky as well.

As I stood and stared at the sky a sense of hope washed over me and I felt hopeful. If something as beautiful as the sky was apparent here in Hell. Known as the pit for sinners souls to come and burn, this sky proved  that hope can even reside here, in a place where everything is considered to be lost.
