-Lillith POV
The string of pearls gleamed as I wore them, and stared back at my reflection.with light that came from my lightbulbs that outlined my mirror. I sprayed some of my perfume, watching the small droplets float around me as they slowly landed on me, like, rain droplets.
I looked past my reflection, where a painting of me and My Little Flower hung. She was a couple of decades old in that painting, and we both wore matching pink colored dresses. Hers being a pastel shade, while mine was a more darker shade. We both were standing underneath the Tree of Knowledge, which was in our private garden. Charlie stood in front of me, clutching both her goat demons plush toys.
She had certainly grown up as I look back. My Little Flower had been blooming, and I felt like I hadn't been there for her. Razzle and Dazzle were certainly a great help. They raised her while me and Luci had to take care of our own responsibilities as King and Queen.
I sighed. Maybe if me and Luci had taken care of her more, then maybe the incident wouldn't have happened. Me and Luci didn't talk about it, one was part of fear that she would overhear us and ask questions, making her actually remember and, hating us. The other being, that it was better letting that even be forgotten. We were certainly lucky to get her back, even though she was, a bit different.
I decided to call her today. The past few days I didn't really have time to do since I was either busy, or exhausted. Her telling me she was okay through text wasnt the same as hearing she was okay from her. And I had been having this gut feeling that something was off. That something was lingering around her the past few days. Could it be negative emotions about the backlash she received about her hotel? Or something that could pose a threat. I grabbed my Hellphone and looked at the hour. 6:53.
She had kept quiet. She didn't go back to the news station or do another public appearance and talk about the Hotel, which made me worried. Had the words of those demons break her hopes? As her Mother, I should have been there, and made more time for me to talk to her. But I am Queen. Responsibilities are still needed to be taken care of.
IT had been decades since the "incident", and ever since me and Luci had told ourselves we would be better parents. Yet here I was, talking to her for the first time in two weeks, to catch up.
"Miss Lilith," A voice spoke out to me from the other side of the door.
"Yes Melly?" I questioned back, knowing I would be heading down to the entrance of the palace.
"Your 8 a.m appearance at the RESIST concert is almost up. The limousine is ready for you, and we should be at the Lust Ring in 40 minutes or so depending on road traffic." Melly told me as I could see her looking down at her clipboard, making sure everything was going According to plan.
"Right, I'll be there shortly, I must call my Daughter. I'll be down by 7." I told her. I looked at the time. 6:55. Would five minutes be enough? They were certainly better than nothing.
"Yes Miss Lilith, I'll see you downstairs with the rest." I could hear her feet trail off and down the stairs they went.
I signed of exhaustion. Five minutes would not be enough for me to catch up with My Little Apple. But they were better than nothing, right?
I dialed her phone number, hearing the phone ring. I hope she was awake, knowing her, she would sleep for a long while.
"Hello My Little Rebel, how are you?" I greeted her when she picked up the phone, not eating any second to talk to her.
"Hey Mom! How have you and Dad been?" She asked me, I could feel her enthusiasm radiate from her voice. Certainly unexpected, but I was glad she had her spirits up.
