Chapter 43- Recap

They had summoned us to Heaven on such short notice, and I hoped our stay wouldn't be eternal. Truth be told I hadn't reported anything so I supposed they would be replacing me for someone who was far more suited for the job. After all, i wasn't really created for this, like Adam had intended me to be.

Heaven was certainly very different from the human world, and being back here again certainly opened my eyes as how truly it was its own little realm. All of the light, and the pastel colors, and everyone being joyous cause well, they were literally the definition of good. As former and what I had been going through back in the human world, I felt impure compared to them, as if I hadn't showered.

"Well, well, look who's back here again." Lute mocked at me as me and the other three angels had just entered the gates, awaiting for Sera to take us into the special office where we would be gathering.

I looked to the other three angels who had been sent with me, they were all strangers to me as I had never really talked to them, and it's not like back on Earth did we really socialize besides telling everyone that we were all siblings, with an already premade story regarding our background. But it felt nicer the way we had it as I preferred it that since I felt like perhaps engaging with each other more would it make it difficult with the mission.

They didn't seem to take into account Lute, or in fact me as they stared straight ahead searching for signs of Sera. And if Lute was here, then Adam would be around here.

I rolled my eyes at her; Things between her and I weren't exactly the best but I didn't really care since I wasn't looking for her respect.

"I heard you guys are doing a horrible job down there, that's why they all called you up here." She said, noticing I wasn't buying into her mockery and I would certainly not be drawn into this as well, but then again she made a point as I hadn't exactly heard from the other three guys. They of course, kept to themselves as we rarely did interact... after all, I didn't really know their names.

I also thought they would mention about me making Mimzy forget a few things and stalling the investigation since it was probably her who had been going on in a murdering spree. The bad vibes I had sensed around her were undeniable, and were confirmed when she was about to do the unimaginable to Charlie; But thanks to me, Charlie didn't remember anything from that one night since I sheltered her from it, and after meeting up with her the other day, did it truly confirm she didn't know.

"Hey answer me dumb bitch. Just cause you go down to the human realm on a supposed special mission doesn't make you fucking special! You think you're the shit now cause you let your hair grow too?" She exclaimed, up and close in front of my face, making me come back to reality as I stared back at her. She clearly had no filter while we were with the Winners, who just carried on with their morning promenade.

"Yeah, whatever you say." I waved her off, clearly not wanting to indulge more with her as she was a growing headache that just grew worse and more worse the more I was engaging with her.

"Why you-

"Luteeeeee! There you are you bitch!" I heard him coming closer from behind me, and I was mentally preparing myself to get even more mentally prepared. I heard the loud slurping of his straw close up on me.

"Oh my fucking shitballs! Is that you Vagasaurus! It's been so fucking long.... not as long as my dick, y'know? Like the First Dick? YUP! All me!" He exclaimed with all the thrill he could muster, then again he was mostly talking about himself so that's where half of the thrill came from/.
