Chapter Twenty Four Former Family Members

Mary was now staring straight at her ex-boyfriend and Her 'grandparents'. The same ones who forcibly married her mother of to a complete stranger, who was heartless and a decade older than her. Marys face went from shocked to enraged as she demandingly asked "What are you three doing here!?" Caledon Jones, her former lover, proceeded to say with a smug smile "To reclaim my bride". He winked at Mary, who proceeded to angrily grab a nearby water bottle, remove the cap and toss the water in his face! She then said to him "I am not your bride!" Hunter the 2nd was confused and was about to ask what was going on, when Marys 'Grandmother' Ruth said "You are his bride, you two are meant to be married!" This only made Mary even more mad, she remembered how they had ruined her mothers life, by forcing her to marry Jerome Hockley and furiously shouted at Ruth "You had, NO RIGHT, to take my Moms life away, You hear me, YOU HAD NO RIGHT!!!!"

There were at least 3 dozen people in the tents around them and they all looked at them. Marys cheeks turned red from embarrassment and Hunter the 2nd broke the 30 second silence with "Can someone please tell me what's going on?" Mary then said to Hunter the 2nd "In, food truck, now". Hunter the 2nd obliged and they both went in. Mary closed the curtains, locked the door and started to explain. "Who are those people?" asked Hunter the 2nd. Mary sat down on a chair next to the freezer and started explaining. She calmly said "Those two are my grandparents". Hunter the 2nds eyes widened, he was very shocked that Mary had a really bad relationship with her Grandparents and asked "What happened between you three?" Mary tearfully replied with "When my mom was my age, they forced her to marry Jerome Hockley, a 26 year old rich guy who she didn't even know". Hunter the 2nd was now even more shocked, back in the future, forced marriage was a serious crime in the Free People's Republic and punishable by 20 years in prison. He had no clue that it was legal in this time and asked "Why isn't the evil act of forced marriage illegal?"

Mary dried her tears and said "Dad banned forced marriage a day before you arrived, He'd been trying for over a year and only succeeded then". Hunter the 2nd was so shocked that Marys so called 'grandparents' could do such a thing and asked "How could they ruin your mothers life like that?" Mary proceeded to say "They're followers of the patriots party, the patriots party states that a woman's place is in the home and they must be married of as soon as possible to prevent them from becoming a Democrat". Hunter the 2nds mouth dropped, He knew the Patriots Party had become nothing but Fascist Monarchists since the Trump family founded them, he was also aware that the Patriots Party had stated that the Trump family were the rightful royals of America, but America was a Representative Democracy and not a Feudal Monarchy like the Patriots Party wanted it to be. He collected himself and realised that her father was named Andrew Myers, so Marys mother must've escaped. He then asked "How did she escape?"

Mary then answered him with "She jumped out the window onto the street below before He could rape her, she was on the streets for months before my Grandpa Max and Grandma Jackelyn took her in. She fell in love with their son, my dad and 18 years ago they got married". "Thank heavens she escaped that sham of a marriage" said Hunter the 2nd. "Indeed" Mary replied. Mary then said "They had me a couple years later and Mom rarely spoke to them". Hunter the 2nd was not surprised, after all, who would speak to such awful parents. Mary then tearfully said "Then a year ago the worst day of my life happened". Hunter the 2nd noticed her tears and asked "What?" Through floods of tears, Mary said "Jerome killed my mom!" The moment Hunter the 2nd heard those words, He almost fainted, but kept his balance and understood Marys pain. Mary then cried in his arms as she let out all she'd been holding up inside her.

After Mary dried her eyes, she said "About a month later, I met Cal, he seemed like a nice guy and we started dating". Hunter the 2nd could tell where this was going. Mary then said "But 3 months ago I heard him talking to my Grandparents on speaker phone, I then realised that they hired him to try and date me!" She then continued with "I told Dad everything and He decided to confront them". Hunter the 2nd then asked "How did it go?" Mary replied with "They were called in and they said that I must be married to Cal as soon as possible so that I don't Betray and I quote on quote". Mary sarcastically said "Our glorious King Trump". Hunter the 2nd proceeded to say "Let me guess, Cal then proposed?" Mary smirked and said "You guessed correct". Mary then proceeded to say "After they said that I was his bride by right, they gave him the order to propose. I simply slapped him and told him we were through".

This slightly startled Hunter the 2nd, he was expecting for Mary to say that security escorted them out. Mary then said "Since then my former grandparents have tried everything to get custody of me so they can marry me of to Cal, of course they've failed every time since the judge has refused to let them ruin my life and when the public heard about this, protests against my 'grandparents' started up outside the courthouse and their own house". Hunter the 2nd replied with "Let me guess you once saw your 'grandmother' her Lawyer to lie cheat steal and corrupt the government if he has to?" Mary chuckled and answered with "Probably yes". It was by this point that Hunter the 2nd had pieced it all together, Mary's grandparents forced her mother to marry Jerome Hockley and ruined her life. She escaped, married Andrew and then Jerome killed her. This was in turn all the fault of Mary's 'grandparents' and now they were trying to ruin her life as well. Hunter the 2nd then got up and headed out to confront them.

Hunter the 2nd threw the door open and saw Ruth, Biff and Cal. They were with a bunch of bodyguards and a couple of butlers. He angrily walked to them and said "You two ruined Marys mothers life! How could you do such a thing!?" Ruth angrily got up, she was in dress you would usually see a socialite in and she angrily said "We couldn't risk her becoming a disloyal Democrat, if she became a Democrat, she would have betrayed our glorious Trump family, the rightful rulers of AMERICA!" Hunter the 2nd was angry at them and said "You two are pure evil, you are also very delusional, America is a Democracy, not a Monarchy". Biff, who was wearing a business suit, got up and said "There must be a hierarchy, this Democracy is absolute chaos!" Hunter the 2nd then pointed out what good had come because of the democracy by saying "Thanks to the actions of the Democratic Party and the Federalist Party, poverty and crime are practically non existent!" Biff rudely pointed at him and said "There is crime and that is betrayal against our glorious leader!"

Before Biff could accuse Hunter the 2nd of betraying the Trump family, a limo pulled up at the driveway nearby and out came President Andrew Myers, who had come to inspect the conditions of the refugee camp. People applauded his arrival and he asked a man "How are the conditions at the camp?" The man proceeded to say "The beds are comfortable enough and the foods okay". Andrew then wrote down what the man said on his notepad and went to ask more people questions about the camps conditions. It was then that he saw them, his deceased wife's former parents. Andrew marched over to them and said "What on Gods green Earth are you two doing here?" Biff proceeded to say "Mary must marry Cal". Andrew Myers angrily said "She doesn't need to marry that snobbish rich kid". Ruth looked at the man who she refused to call her son in law and said "You seduced my daughter! You turned her into a democrat!" President Myers and his bodyguards moaned at what they just said. It was the usual Saturday morning Patriots Party nonsense. Mary then exited the truck and marched over to them.

She calmly said "I am sorry, but I am not of legal age to be wed and I wish not to see you three again". Ruth turned to her only grandchild and said "Are you betraying the Trumps?" Mary couldn't take it anymore and said "For once Ruth, JUST SHUT UP!" Ruth fell silent as Mary angrily said "You ruined my Moms life! She did not want to marry Jerome and did not need to. What's more is, you seem to care more about being right, than how your family feels". Andrew Myers then said "This is your last chance, stop trying to force my daughter to marry your pig of a next door neighbour, or I will forbid you from ever seeing her." Ruth's face had fallen to a disturbed look, never before had someone stood up to her and she began walking away. After they were gone, Andrew said to Mary "I'm gonna start asking the locals how the conditions here are, you can help if you like". Mary smiled and said "Sure dad, Ill help after the kids have finished their last lesson of the day in half a hour".
