Hunter had just shot a War Corpse. Julie picked up all 3 War Corpse's guns and gave them to the soldiers for the Free People's Army to use in battle. Julie then said to Hunter "You were very brave, but your too young to fight, once your 18 you can fight". Hunter was both glad and sad. Glad that he was brave, sad that he was too young to fight....he wanted to avenge his family who he loved so dearly. They continued down the sewers, until they came to a wall with a huge yellow star on it. Julie stepped forward and knocked 3 times. Suddenly the wall opened up to reveal it led to the People's Fortress. All of them then entered, the door closed once they all got inside and Hunter was amazed at what he saw. Inside were over 30,000 soldiers and 20,000 civilians. The civilians were making weapons and plasma bullets for the soldiers. Children were being taught by some old and frail teachers who survived and there were bunk beds where everyone slept. The cafeteria was serving up cooked rats and fish that swam through the sewer water. They weren't the best food, but it was better than nothing. At least 3 or 4 days a week they would also have some apples or beef, it was delicious compared to the rats. When Julie entered the People's Fortress, everyone saw her and applauded her return from another successful supply run. The soldiers had weapons and building materials for both the F.P.A and the civilians. Hunter was amazed by the People's Fortress and asked "What the heck was this place?" Julie smiled and said "This place was a Government bunker before the war, so that in the event of a war, at least a portion of the cities population would survive". Hunter then understood that the Free. People's Army started out there and since most government records were destroyed in the war, War-Net had no clue this place even existed. Julie got onto a stage and made an announcement.

"Listen up people, we have discovered the location of the transmitter War-Net uses to communicate with its War Robots in San Francisco, if we can destroy it, then War-Net will lose its hold on the city and San Francisco will be ours"

Everyone started cheering her on and Hunter got an idea. "Why don't we re-wire it to shut down any War Robots that come into the city?" he asked enthusiastically. The Survivors thought this was a good idea, but there was a problem. Julie then sadly said "Sadly the air duct is too small for an adult to fit through, a child about your size could go through but I cannot and will not risk a child's life". Hunter was a bit upset at this, but at least Julie was just trying to protect him and the others. Everyone then went back to their duties, Julie went to her office to go over the plan with the Colonels and Hunter got something to eat. As he was eating a cooked fish, a girl about his age came over and introduced herself as Jessica. She had brown hair and bright blue eyes. She complimented his plan saying "I think your plans great, but Julie wont risk it". Hunter then asked Jessica "How did you end up here?" Jessica then explained how "My parents died when I was seven so I was in the ruins for a while and 6 years ago Julie saved me from a War Rex and bought me here". Hunter took hold of her hand and said "Sorry about your parents". "Thanks" said Jessica with a tear dropping from her eye. He let go and said "Would you do that plan if you could?" Jessica was a bit disturbed and said "I would if I could, but its too dangerous, we could get killed!" Hunter looked at her with a serious look and said "If we just destroy it then War-Net will send in a mobile transmitter to keep the machines going until it can be replaced, meaning it will all have been for nothing". Jessica thought for a moment and said "You're  right". Hunter smiled and asked "So your in?" She nodded and said "Ok, but we wait until after the battle to re-wire it". Jessica then got an idea and said "I also know someone who can help".
