"So" he paused, running his fingers through his unruly curls. Puffing out a breath in hopes to calm himself before continuing "Your tell me, that. Both my daughters have powers" his gaze glancing between Anaya who was siting in the kitchen practicing her water bending with Sammy and Rita who was lazing on the couch beside Mist playing poker. To them the world was calm, the city was safe. But they knew better than to think the danger was over. But this was their safe haven.

"Yes, that is correct" she simply replied, laying out a card facing up. Misty shrugs slumping in her chair.

"Hit me" Mist said, trying to reach for the deck of cards. Rita tilted her head in confusion. Glancing down at the deck of cards in her grasp then back at Mist.

"You do know we're playing poker right" Rita questioned, raising her brow.

"I thought we were playing Kings"

"Forget about the damn game and explain" Duran snapping, gesturing towards Anaya. His mind racing with questions.

"Lionel said it was destined to happen. Both their fox's were awaken the moment they made contact with their mate" Rita explained with a shrug, plucking a card from the deck in her hand, laying it out on the table. Duran narrowed his gaze in confusion, gazing over his shoulder at his innocent Anaya. Both girls were identical not in facial but in mind and actions. They were both innocent and pour beyond belief. Even if he hadn't known them for long, he was still there father, the bond between them was undeniable.

"But Anaya doesn't have a mate" he said, mostly to himself but it didn't fall on deaf ears as he'd hoped. He knew of Azaya finding her mate, but the news of Anaya finding hers was new. The sound of the front door opening, footsteps padding against the marble floor in their direction. Pamela being the first to enter the living room.

"Don't be mad, but there might be a dead body on your lawn" Jeremiah said, walking pass them into the kitchen. Licking the blood from his sticky finger. Sammy stood there glaring at him silently, as he flipped on the kitchen faucet but no water flew from the pipe. "What's up with your pip-" water burst from the pipe, soaking him from head to toe. Corey was the first to burst out into a fit of laughter falling back on the couch with his feet dangling on the arm rest.

"Sorry" Anaya said sheepishly, slumping back in her chair around the island.

"So what are we talking about" Elijah asked, plopping down on the love seat opposite. Ignoring the protest of Jeremiah trying to get dry.

"We're playing poker" Rita replies, holding up the deck of cards.

"So we're not playing kings?" Mist asked in disappointment.

"No one's playing cards" Duran exclaimed, running his fingers through his already messy curls. "I need answers, who's Anaya's mate" he asked, glancing around the room for answer's. Releasing a shaky breath, he found himself plopping down on the chair closest to him.

"Pam is...." Corey said, cutting himself out once he realized what had just said, catching the attention of everyone sitting in the living room. "a....great...... fighter" he said trying to cover up his mistake. It was no place for him say what was happening in their personal life.

"I knew that bitch was gay" Mist exclaimed, grabbing Pam's attention. Anaya was still practicing her water bending on the still soaked Jeremiah.

"You didn't know shit" Pam said, strolling into the attached living room plopping down beside Mist with a straight look on her face. She wasn't going to hide the fact that Anaya was her mate. Though it wasn't her place to tell Anaya's family that she preferred company of a woman.

"So it's true" Duran was the first to ask, sitting out. Curiosity getting the best of him.

"So in other news, Lionel can't see the future anymore" Corey said trying to change the subject, realizing the position she was in, even with a blank expression he could still hear her heart thumping rapidly against her rib cage.

"Wait, what" Rita asked, turning to face Corey. "What do you mean he can't see the future anymore".

"Meaning he can't see what's about to happen" Jeremiah said stating the obvious as he entered the living area, making his way towards the couch Elijah was seated on. Not paying attention to the absentminded look on his face as he plopped down beside him.

"He said he can't see what's about to happen as if the future is re-writing itself, he can see the images, he just can't piece them together." Pam said, trying to explain the best she can. Watching as her delicate mate made her way over to where her father was sitting back with his fingers rubbing his temples, as she plopped down beside him with her hands intertwined on her lap. Everything about her was so refined, her posture was straight to the point with her legs crossed at the ankle.

"So what now" Rita ask, gazing around the room with wary eye's, hoping for an answer to her question.

"Now we wait for Klaus to kill Larry" Lionel said, appearing beside Anaya who was silently trying to understand what was going on. It wasn't in her nature to intervene in any conversation, so joining in the conversation was out of the question.

"Then what, it won't be an easy task, that man's skin is thicker than leather" Corey shrugged, gazing up at his beloved mate. The one he knew truly deserved his love. Silence lingered among them as the minutes tick by slowly. It was all they could do at the moment.
