Dear journal
With a busy day ahead, I was unsure if I was ready to face this day. Yesterday I met someone. His name is Klaus. I met him in the park after ending my last journal entry. He was extremely nice to me for some reason an it calmed me to know that I was actually making a friend. Though something felt odd about him. I couldn't help the pull I felt towards him. His eyes were oddly gold but it could just be contacts.
I'm still hoping to make more friends but one will do for now.
Pulling out one of the trolleys, pushing it Infront me as made my way to the first aisle. Picking up a few box's of Mac and cheese, hot pockets, frozen waffle and other easy made meals and such. I was currently in the snack aisle picking up potato chips, Doritos, lays an a few other snacks.
I was about to reach for a the last pringle but somebody else beat me to it. I released a breath, looking around for anyone who possibly worked here to see if I could get a few. I shrugged looking ahead to see a guy standing there with a blank expression on his almost chubby face. With his shoulder length ash blonde hair pulled into a low ponytail.
Just like Klaus, his skin was extremely pale and his eyes were a deep red.
What's up with these people and contacts.
"Hi" he finally spoke, releasing I wasn't going to speak first. It's a habit I picked up from my aunt. I'm not sure how, but it stuck with me.
"Hello" I replied, getting ready to push my trolley around him but he stepped in the way, blocking my path.
"I've never seen you around here before, are you new" he asked, staring at me intently, is it that obvious that I'm new here. I nod, turning away from his gaze. "I'm Jason" he finally smiled, holding out his hand for me to take. Taking a hold of his hand slowly shaking it.
"Azaya" I said softly, taking my hand from his grasp. He seemed okay I guess. But why couldn't I accidentally run into a girl. It's like this city was over populated with boys with a low count of girls.
"It was great meeting you Azaya" he said, dropping the pringles in my trolley an walked around me. I was confused but grateful. Though one pringles wasn't going to do. By the time I was done shopping it was twelve midday. Two of the workers helped me carry my trolley since I ended up having to get another one because everything I wanted couldn't fit in just one.
"Thank you" I smiled, closing the trunk of my aunt's Audi while the store workers made there way back inside. Hopping in the driver's seat, buckling myself in an drove off. Once I got back to the house, I gathered a few bags in my hand an made my way up the stairs to the front door.
"Need some help there princess" I heard a familiar voice call out. My attention quickly snapped towards Klaus's front yard where I saw him standing on the swing facing me. Looking away, I was hesitant at first, I mean, he's technical still a stranger. But there was so many bags. Glancing up, ready to reply. I almost squealed in surprise. He was now standing before me leaning against the door jam.
How did he get over here so fast. As if reading my mind he replied. "I jumped the fence". I nod. He walked off grabbing almost half the bags an came back. "Can I come in" he asked.
"Yes of course" I smiled softly, entering the house an led the way to the kitchen. After Klaus made one last trip for the remaining bags. He was kind enough to help me unpack the bags. The silence between us was oddly calm. I was enjoying it, and his company.
"So..princess, are you excited about starting a new school" he asked, breaking the silence.
"Kind of" I sighed, shrugging my shoulders. The thought of tomorrow finally sinking in. Was I ready though. "It's just that I won't really know anybody, an I'm terrible at meeting new people" I paused, realising that I was rambling. He chuckled at my now cherry red cheeks. He was only an inch away from me. Lifting my chin with his finger, once my eyes meet his. I couldn't help the pull. It's like he was staring into my soul with his burning golden eyes boring into my ordinary dark brown ones.
"Don't worry too much about it, you'll make new friends. If not, you'll always have me" he smiled, pressing his soft lips against my temples before going back to packing the cabinets. I was frozen by his sudden act. My mouth gapped a bit with burning red cheeks. He glanced over at me, licking his lips an grinned.
Looking down at the tinned beef in my hand I got back to packing.
We were almost done packing the cabinets when his phone went off. Pulling his phone from his jacket pocket, swiftly answering the call.
"This better be good" he hissed lowly, to a point where I almost didn't hear him. His tone of voice shocked me a bit, but I quickly recovered and got back to packing. "Fine, I'm on my way" he sighed, ending the call. "I'm sorry princess, but I gotta head out, I'll see you around" he smiled, opening his arms for a hug.
I flush a bit, walking into his open arms an embraced him. It felt so good being so close to him. The strange smell of spices rolled off him, it was intoxicating. I was so indulged in his smell, warmth and how right this felt that I almost didn't want to let go. But I did. "I'll see you, and thank you for helping me" I smiled, stepping back.
"Anytime princess, I'll see myself out" he smiled, turning around with his hands in his pocket as he walked out of the kitchen. After hearing the front door close, I finally released a breath I didn't realize I was holding. That was weird, even for me.
