The tension in the room was growing by the minute. No one dared utter a word. It was thicker than the blood rushing through their veins. They sat there awaiting the news that was to be told.
"We can't just sit here and do nothing" Elijah sighed out in frustration. Pushing himself back into the leather couch angrily.
"He's right, the clocks ticking, and i want Mist back" Corey snapped, glancing around at the others in hope to hurry whatever they had planned up. He could feel the hurt and pain rushing through his mate. Every tear that slid down her cheeks, he could feel it.
"Patience" Rita whispered, not once looking up from her interesting view of the lines on her marble tiles. Tapping her feet impatiently. It was three in the morning and yet there was no sign of him. He should've been here by now. Knowing him, he was eating junk food on the side of the road to hold up time, and that's never a good thing on anyone's part.
"Patience isn't an option" Elijah spat, pushing himself off the couch, catching the attention of everyone except Klaus. Sammy, Rita's father, mouth open, ready to respond when Klaus pushed himself off the couch and exit the living room jogging up the stairs to the one place he felt closer to her.
Pushing her room door open, her blissful lavender scent pulling him in, consuming him, pulling him into a deeper sense of helplessness. Helpless at the fact that, his mate was in danger and he couldn't help. Helpless to the fact that she wasn't in his arms, blushing deep red at his presence, shiver slightly whenever he touched her.
The way her soft, plup, tempting lips moving in sync with his. He missed it. All of it. Their bond wasn't complete, but he felt attached and possessive of her.
Tears welding in his eyes, as he picked up the photo they all took the morning of the spirit week games. They were all happy, including her. Resting the photo back on her night table, slowly walking around her bed to the teddy bear he had won her at the spirit week carnival.
His fingers slowly running over the teddy bears fur.
Meanwhile, Rita was busy trying to wrap her mind around the fact that the girls were being held captive, probably bleeding out, are gasping rapidly for air. She felt responsible for all of it.
Bang!!!!!
The door burst open, revealing a foaming Ryan with a blank minded Harlem. Stomping through the house angrily. She was livid, she knew something was wrong the moment she got the message from her sister, regarding the disappearance of both girls.
"What the fuck" Elijah breath's out, looking towards the living room entrance.
"Where is she" Ryan yelled, storming into the living room, scanning the room angrily before her eyes landed on the man that stole her heart years ago. "I know you had something to do with this" she stated angrily, pointing her finger at him. Duran chuckled dryly, pushing himself off the couch. His slander body hovering over her giving off a dangerous aura.
"Excuse me" he said through gritted teeth. He couldn't help scanning her small figure, her light blue eyes held untold secrets of her past. She was truly something, a shall of the woman he once loved.
"I just know you had something to do with this Duran" she cried out, tears rushing down her burning red cheeks. "My daughter's are missing because of you" she exclaimed though gritted teeth, pointing towards him with a dangerous look in her eyes.
"You need to calm the fuck down" Duran stated sternly, glaring daggers at her. Rita was quick on her feet, trying to calm her short tempered sister down.
"Don't tell me what to do, I should have never made them come here" she blurted out, pushing Rita from before her. But as soon as those words left her lips, she instantly began to regret it with every bone in her body. Duran was burning with anger, gripping the hand that was pointing at him.
"Don't you think you've done enough" he began angrily through gritted teeth, lightening bolts rushing through his veins, his eyes glowing light orange with lightening bolts flashing repeatedly. "You've kept my daughter's from me-"
"I had all rights too, you weren't fit to be their father" Ryan interrupted, trying to pull her hand from his grasp but failed miserably. With Harlem finally stepping in.
"Should we intervene" Corey asked in concern, Elijah shrugged, wanting to be anywhere but in the middle of old people argument.
"No......" Rita dragged out, Shaking her head while turning away from the scene. Corey nod, opening the fridge.
"I would of made a better father than that boy you call a husband" Duran hissed, glaring at Harlem who was now standing behind Ryan with a stern look on his face.
"I've been a way better father than you could ever be" Harlem interjected.
"Damn, he talks" Corey said in surprise, moving the spoon of mashed potatoes from his lips.
"Don't think for second that I don't know-"
"THAT'S ENOUGH" Klaus voice boomed, shattering the glass cup Rita was holding. All head snapped in his direction in fright. Ryan scoffed, tugging her hand from Duran's now loss grip.
"What the hell are you supposed to be" she spat, glaring up at the young man stepping dangerously in her direction. Her body shivered in fear at his deadly appearance.
"If your finish being children's" a voice intervened, bringing everyone's attention to the man walking out of the shadows. His shoulder length dark brown hair was pulled into a low ponytail, with his light brown eyes on full display. "I'd like to know why you summoned me"
"Lionel, it's been a while" Sammy said, grabbing everyone's attention. Lionel Prince. The founder of River valley private school, son of the towns founder Faron Prince.
"Your Lionel Prince" Corey said breathlessly in disbelief. Voicing almost everyone's thoughts.
"Where's the city gem" Klaus blurted out, not wasting anytime with stupid questions and fan girling over a legend. All heads snapped towards him in shock. Which tickled Lionel's fancy, finding him interesting.
"I like you" Lionel said with a slight smile. Kicking his feet as he stepped closer, with his hands clasped behind his back.
"But-"
"As for the gem, it's not something I can just give to you" Lionel began, cutting Rita off. Stopping in the middle of the room with a blank yet dangerous expression.
"We need the gem to-"
"To save the twins, I'm aware" he injected.
"How??" Duran asked, a bit confused as to how he knew. Sammy nor Rita had explained to him to the situation.
"He's a Precognitor" Sammy explained. Corey tilt his head a bit, confused. Elijah, Klaus and Harlem only stood with a straight face. Though they didn't understand what it means. "Also called prescience, future vision, or future sight, is a claimed psychic ability to see events in the future" Sammy added, everyone nod in understanding.
"If you know, then why can't you just give us the gem" Klaus asked in frustration.
"I can't give to you something I don't have, and the gem is not something to give" he paused, glancing around at the confused crowd.
"What's that suppose to mean" Elijah finally asked in anger. Taking two steps forward glaring daggers at him.
"If you know their in danger then why can't you help us, get the gem and save them" Klaus said angrily, slightly raising his voice with each word he spat.
"It's out of my power, and besides..... I no longer control the gem. Cause it's not a something, are even an it"
"What does that even mean" Corey quickly asked, opening out his arms, shaking his head.
Rita snapped her attention to him in realization, and replied unsurely "he means, it's not a something..... It's a someone"
