With the wind howling in the distance, and electric buzzing of the lap post. It wasn't the best night to be walking on the one road that was off limits to everyone in town. But it was the only way.

"Are you sure this is a good idea" Corey asked, once the giant double gate came into their line of view. He could feel the cold breeze bashing against his warm skin. He wasn't quite sure how they'd convince this man to help them. It's not like their family were best of friends.

"Yeah, I mean, this guy hates your guts, not to mention your dad's" Elijah pointed out, kicking the rubble underneath his feet.

"That man is not my father" Klaus growled, his knuckles turning white at the thought of the sperm donor he grew up calling a father. That man was anything but worthy of which high praise. He didn't deserve that are any other title.

"I get that, but are you sure about this" Corey asked in a worried tone, pointing to the double gate that was now being automatically opened.

"I'm sure" he replied, using his speed to reach the door. A bolt of lightening flashed through the air towards him to which he easily dodge.

"Why are you on my land, Michaelson" the man's voice bombed as Klaus came to a hault not too far from where he stood.

"We need your help" he mumbled almost inaudibly, looking anywhere but at the man before him.

"Excuse me" the man asked, a bit shocked. Maybe he heard wrong. Maybe his mind was playing a tricks on him. Old age is a bitch. Klaus sighed, pushing his pride aside for the safety of his mate and her friends.

"We need your help" he said a bit louder, shocking everyone including himself.

"And why would I help you" Duran asked, folding his arms across his chest. He wasn't sure what kinda of prank this was. But he wasn't falling for it tonight. The Michaelson's weren't very good people, though he knew nothing about Klaus.

"Will you help us are not" Elijah said through gritted teeth, stomping up the stairs towards him.

"Don't try me little boy" Duran growled, glaring daggers at the teenage boy standing not too far from him at this point. "Now tell me what this is about" he said turning back towards Klaus since he was the only one who seemed to be more calm.

Klaus sighed, finally meeting his gaze. "Larry has Azaya and Anaya" he said softly, not breaking eye contact. Duran's eyes widen, his hands falling to his side's.

"What!!!" Duran's voice bombed, his anger began to raise rapidly. "What do you mean that man has my daughter's" he yelled angrily.

"Meaning, he kidnapped them and is holding them hostage until-" Corey began, but was cut short by and angry Duran.

"I know what it means you idiot" he exclaimed, glaring over at Corey who just shrugged.

"That's why we need your help, he wants us to do something in order to get them back, if we don't do it by tomorrow, I'm not sure what he'll do" Klaus explained, trying his best to stay calm. But it wasn't really working. Duran's clutched his fist, glaring daggers at the boy standing before him.

"So this is your fault" he said sternly, taking dangerous steps towards him. But Klaus held his ground. His mind flooding with unspeakable things that man could do to them.

"Yes" he replied softly, his body jerking back a little before he was pulled forward, Duran's hold on his shirt was tight. They're face were only centimetres away.

"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill you right now" Duran gritted out, his hard glare burning holes through Klaus's face.

"Because you need us as much as we need you right now" Elijah pointed out, grabbing Duran's attention. He chuckled dryly, his grip becoming tighter by the minute, if that was even possible.

"I can find my daughter's without your help. Stay out of my way and away from my daughter's" he yelled, releasing Klaus and pushed him back with great force though it didn't do much. Duran huffed, stroking off but was stopped by Klaus who stood in his way. "Move" he gritted out.

"That's not an option" he said menacingly, his eyes getting dark with anger. "You need to trust us, whether you like it are not" he gritted out.

"An why should I trust you, what could you possibly gain from this" Duran asked, angry but also confused.

"Whether you want to believe it are not, I have a lot to gain. Azaya means a lot to me, and I'd do anything to keep her safe, even if it means pushing my pride aside and asking you for help" Klaus growled out, taking a step towards him with determination. Duran was taken aback by this. A Michaelson actually caring about someone was a shock to him. That too the fact that it was Klaus the future king of all vampires.

"Fine" Duran breath out softly, looking away from him. Turning on his heels, he led the way into his foyer and offered them to sit. Elijah stood behind the couch Klaus and Corey was seated on facing Duran. "What exactly does he want you to do" he asked, opening the top button on his blazer, to relax a bit. His mind running wild with multiple ways to kill that man.

"He wants the city gem" Duran's eyes widen at this.

"The city gem" he asked in disbelief, to which the boys nod. The room fell completely silent. They knew more than anyone that the city gem was a myth. It was and old city tail told by teachers and elders. But no one has ever seen it before, so it was labelled as a myth and nothing more.

The only ones who truly knew if it was a myth are not was the Prince family elder, and he was long gone.

"The gem is a myth. I've lived in this city for five hundred years, and I've never seen the gem" Duran stated, looking over at the boys in disbelief, shaking his head.

"That's just it, he said the gem is being held by one of the Prince family members. But he's not sure which one" Corey added, lifting his shoulder momentarily before it fell in a shrug.

"The best candidate is Azaya's grandfather, but he's dead as far as I know" Elijah sighed, looking down at his feet.

"I know someone we could ask" Duran stated, looking around at the three boys.
